Two super actors and Sean Connery the best 007 James Bond 👏👍👏
ОтветитьThe producer whom Caine mentioned was Charles D. Kasher (1912-1999), who made a fortune in the 1950s peddling a fake baldness cure called "Charles Antell Formula No. 9." In the mid-'60s, after a few lawsuits proving the ineffectiveness of his goop, he produced "The Ipcress File" and "Funeral in Berlin," both starring Caine. Antell was the maiden name of Kasher's mother.
ОтветитьI felt tortured and I felt pain just like that film with Michael Caine
ОтветитьPerfect phrase..."if it's not off the cuff...it's no good." That, my friends, is what is wrong with current hosts...
ОтветитьI really liked the movie. I never knew that Rudyard Kipling was a Freemason until this movie.
ОтветитьSean is only 45 here, but he looks 60 or older, crazy
ОтветитьThere was something wrong with Johnny `s hair style.
ОтветитьWho is still watching the Carson Tonight Show in 2024? 🙋♂🙋♀
ОтветитьCarson had a great memory for all the people and places where he met them the first time.
ОтветитьCan't believe that room could hold all that talent.
Ed was quiet, but was major talent too!
This is epic.
I can't believe Sean is gone. He was so shy and reserved in real life. Clearly he valued his privacy.
Magnificent Production Of Man Who Would Be King.Entertaining.
ОтветитьSean Connery James Bond Picture Contract,Did Not Renew, Was Over Money Disputes.GotOut.Won Case.
ОтветитьI adore Micheal Caine such a fantastic actor and so enjoyable to listen to!
Ответить2 British actors from a poor background the backbone of realism! Strong charactered and totally male! Men as they used to be! Such a shame they have put estrogen in everything to feminise men!
ОтветитьI saw Ed McMahon in Atlantic City, when I was a young boy, selling vegetable slicers from a platform on the board walk. I'm 81yo.
ОтветитьVery interesting comments about actor opportunities in the last part of the last segment. This is what intelligent conversation sounds like. Today's (202x) perverted nonsense can't compete.
ОтветитьBack when talk shows were actually talk and not wall-to-wall politics and crap. Johnny's skill as a host are very much missed today.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьTwo Sigma dogs, they don’t give a shunt what people think of ‘em. It’s so refreshing.
Ответитьthanks for uploading. as many uave expressed in the comments naturally, these two are legends, and the low key honest improvised convo is so nice to watch. i love hearing about how ppl got their start, as these two did here.
ОтветитьA real talj shiw. The ones today are SO nanufactured.
ОтветитьAdore Michael Caine, such a versatile actor, my favorite movie Cider House Rules
ОтветитьI was just as glued to this now as I was back in the day boy I miss Johnny and just good conversation with well spoken adults
ОтветитьJohnny’s rocking a serious combover here !
ОтветитьKings of their time, only one still alive
ОтветитьI remain astonished that Johnny Carson was so successful for so long. Tense, awkward, obvious chain-smoking alcoholic, put everyone on the the spot. So fucked up.
ОтветитьCarson's jacket is so tacky.
ОтветитьMichael Caine just shines bright as a gifted actor and human, I would love to see him face to face
ОтветитьAlsatian lmao, the brits really hate german that much huh 😅
ОтветитьThese were real men, not midgets that have to stand on a box to be same heigrt as leading lady or use trick shots to make them look tall.
ОтветитьI loved Michael Caine's Harry Palmer the thinking man's James Bond
ОтветитьCan't do better than Mr. Carson ...it's been tried ...would love to have been a guest of Johnny's ...career highlight 😊
ОтветитьSteve Martin, and Johnny ...very good television 📺
ОтветитьI remember going to the pictures fairly regularly in the 70s simply because there were so many great films of that era and loved watching the trailer of The Man Who Would Be King during it's 'coming soon' release. When it did, my sister took me to see it and we both absolutely loved it. To see it again, I had to wait for it's general release to be shown on tele and it happened to be on a Sunday afternoon around 1981. After that, I eventually purchased it on VHS in 1990 and played it more times than having a roast on Sunday!
ОтветитьZulu and the Man who would be King did it for me...
ОтветитьClassy is the word 🔞
ОтветитьWow, and to think that Caine is in his 90’s now…
ОтветитьI wish the rest of connery interview was there as it ended quite quickly
ОтветитьDid men all talk like that back then? The Americans sound like they’re constantly making an announcement. It’s as if they’re trying to make the entire room hear the conversation. The Jimmies don’t sound like that now.
ОтветитьFour veterans on stage. Confident men with class and dignity.
ОтветитьWhy are we censoring TV from the 1970s?
ОтветитьOh yes, I remember seeing this before - and I wondered then as I wonder now: was Sean Connery in the green room waiting which would seem so rude, or was he just running late. I do like them both so well, even though Michael in person is maybe my favorite actor....I love his little stories about his Mother.
ОтветитьQueen Elizabeth actually knighted Sean Connery. Then at the time he was called Sir Sean Connery. Rest in Eternal Peace Sir Sean Connery. and Michael Caine.
ОтветитьCarson makes it about himself. Connery seems bored, cringed at Carson.
ОтветитьGod bless you Alfred (Caine)
ОтветитьReal Movie Stars, not what passes for one today!
ОтветитьMichael Caine figured out USA TV and News before anyone else.
ОтветитьThe two most disappointing times in my life:
When my dad said he was going out for milk and never returned.
And when Johnny Carson when asking Sir Sean Connery, when offering him a drink did not have a vodka martini shaken not stirred, on the ready!
The latter, still haunts me!
The actor who is a drug addict Michael Caine.
