Good video mate you explain things well. If you had added more fine sand in the mix and made it an inch deeper that tank would run for years without hardly any water changes or maintenance. Well done 😎
ОтветитьU have no problems with air pockets because u use sand which weighs down dirt. Most of us only use gravel which is has more surface area n does not hold down dirt as well as just sand
ОтветитьI want the hills so bad but I might have to move a couple times in the next year and I fear having to restart.
Ответить@AQUAPROS. Where do you get your java ferns???
ОтветитьNever knew you could put organic garden soil to Aquariums. I thought the soil had to be Aquarium specific, like Amazon soil etc eyc
ОтветитьThank you for telling me that the tubrid water was normal! I saw so many videos with crystal clear water, I thought I was doing something wrong
ОтветитьEeek! I put too much water on my soil and now it's too wet. How can I remove some without making a huge mess? Aaaa
ОтветитьIs there a reason for adding the remaining plants after the first few days of water changing?
ОтветитьHow often should we change the water? I just started a planted tank and I’m scared algae will take over. No fish yet.
ОтветитьPlease answer me the soil and the sand on top is that safe for fish mainly native like bluegill and largemouth bass
ОтветитьI want to use only an inch of vermicompost as the base capped with two inches of sand. Will it be safe to add the compost directly or do I need to soak it in water for a day or two to remove the excess nutrients?
ОтветитьWhat is size?
Ответить“Hine sight is 2020 right?”
ОтветитьCan I plant Hemianthas Cuba or Monte Carlo on this method and then grow it on top ??? Please answer ...
ОтветитьWhere do you get your plants
ОтветитьIt’s literally easier to just say that you’ve never gotten laid before bro
ОтветитьHmmm why would you need to add ammonia when the soil is leaching it. This is the reason you can’t add fish 🐠 right away because the soil leaches ammonia
ОтветитьDo you recall where you got your course sand? I’m trying to find something similar. I liked the look and think it would look good in my river setup I’m doing with driftwood in my 75gallon.
ОтветитьWhere do you get the lava rocks from and the sand?
ОтветитьLove it!!❣
ОтветитьI love this so much 💗
ОтветитьYou should put a pair of black angels in there
ОтветитьDo you use a carbon filter or just a sponge filter
ОтветитьSo what do y’all do if it gets super cloudy/muddy
ОтветитьLooks 👍
ОтветитьI’m a complete beginner, setting up a tank for 2 goldfish and want to put in some plants for them… I’ve now heard differing opinions on using soil (obviously always organic) please help!
I was thinking of putting a layer of something underneath the gravel to help the plants roots.
My son won these fish at a fair yesterday and they don’t even have a filter in the small tank they’re in and I only have the one I’m trying to set up now which I literally just bought second hand, going to the shops later so please any advice anyone can give me would be really appreciated!
Please slowly when you speak oufffff.
Its difficult for understand..😉
I’m trying to do a planted aquarium but every time I add water all the seeds and everything move around how do I keep them in one spot
ОтветитьI'm glad I found your helpful channel and subscribed today. 👍❗️beautiful lookin tank.
ОтветитьI love the way u explain
ОтветитьGreat Tank.. Love the set up👍
ОтветитьI have been watching dirted tank videos for days and I wish I had seen this one a long time ago. It has been most helpful. The only thing I would change is you sift and we the soil before putting it in. It helps keep air bubbles out. I also squeezed out the excess water before placing it in the bottom. It really it’s down any cloudy seepage issues with the dirt. I’m using your lava rock trick. You just got a follower. Awesome job!
ОтветитьI’ve been to Monterrey, that’s not what the sand looks like. Great video though.
ОтветитьWill have to remember the lava rock idea.
ОтветитьNever add bristle nose plecos. They are plant killers. Great glass cleaners, but I have a really hard time keeping them away from most plants.
ОтветитьKeep coming back to refresh myself. Thanks Mike.
ОтветитьDid use de-chlorine to remove chlorine from the water? It wasn’t mentioned.
ОтветитьA very helpful video
ОтветитьNice setup. I enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьYou just made the money from the views that you would of made from selling the tank
ОтветитьWhere do you get them big Java ferns from?
ОтветитьHey dude wanna ask can i put epigeic in my acquriam?
ОтветитьStarting to set up a tank for first time in 45 years. I wanted live plants, got the soil.. but now freaking out that I’m not knowledgeable enough. Taking my time( no fish yet)
Don’t recall it being this complicated back in the day!
STEEL RELEVANT IN 2024 :)
LOOKING GOOD :)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING :)
THANK YOU FROM ISRAEL :)
Quick note:
The soil should contain little to no free (soluble) nitrogen and mostly to all insoluble nitrogen, to prevent leaching and ammonia spikes, awa the ensuing algae bloom.
90 g to play with....
Hmmmmmm
My first go to would be an enormous school of Rummynose Tetras
After you plant the BeJebus out of it, of course😊
Thanks for showing and addressing plant melt and murky water!
