Thank you for explaining Q move. I knew what it was and what it could do, but didn't realize it was literally click to attack and hold the key. No wonder it hadn't worked for me XD Here I was winning games by timing my movement and attack clicks.

I haven't played vanilla Red Alert in a while (playing OpenRA and currently playing Tib Dawn on Remastered), my question is on the fake structures: can you build regular structures next to them, or do they not count?

a tip for yourself that i notice you don't do is hold alt key and it allows you to directly run over soldiers. doing this is more efficient than click past them hoping it runs them over, hope this helps anyone.

Q moving is still something i just can't get the hang off, i keep holding Q the whole time but also press it at the wrong time. Maybe one day! haha. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I'm getting worse at the moment online but hoping to change that around :)

Great tutorial, thanks. Before I started playing online I watched a number of your replays to see how you were being so successful. Played around ten games so far and won 9 using these techniques. I do have a question around using Q. If I click to attack and then Q behind the target, it works well. But it does seem that when I pick a new target, I have to use Q again. Which isn't an issue. Its like it ignores the first Q point. Is that the case? Also why hold q, it seems to work fine with a single Q point. Is there something I'm missing?

Q binding is queued unit move on red alert, so is there no such thing as Q Move in tiberium dawn?

I wonder though, I often seem to loose against these small shit tanks that the brits produce, they just rush in and destroy my soviet base early on and I dont seem to be able to stop them. Cant even hit them while they move.

Also, I just tried to play the brits myself and spammed out many small tanks in the start, but I had no chance against the soviet due, his medium tanks destroyed me (4-5min into gameplay).

just started playing this classic and came here thinking I would learn military tactics, and instead learned to sacrifice troops mercilessly and exploit game mechanics. I am not disappointed

I don't really like using all those hotkeys cus theres way too many of them. Theres no way I'm gonna remember an entire keyboard of hotkeys. Also I like using my own controls, for example WASD to move the view around. I just stick to the Ctrl groups and scatter hotkeys and not much else.
