Produced by the Eureka Springs Historical Museum, this slideshow and accompanying audio was the first in a series of oral history presentations of recordings by past citizens of Eureka Springs. Cecil Walker (1917-1996) was a skilled writer, archivist, business manager, and a graduate of the "Old Red Brick" schoolhouse. In Eureka Springs, he worked for the Public Works Administration, Chamber of Commerce, Walters Poster Corporation, Basin Park Hotel, Crescent Hotel, and as the town's Postmaster for more than two decades. He was also a dedicated volunteer for the Eureka Springs Historical Museum.

On November 4th, 2021 we presented this original audio recording of Cecil Walker, with an accompanying slideshow, as part of the "Tips for Transformation" fundraising events for non-profits hosted by Gotahold Brewing. We are happy to now present it here on YouTube, for those who could not attend the event. The audio interview was originally recorded on September 9, 1986. Special thanks to Ted Snow for digitizing the original audio cassette recording. The audio was then digitally restored and edited for brevity by Jeff Danos, to fit into the allotted one hour event time.

The Eureka Springs Historical Museum is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, and we invite you to learn more about us: https://eshmuseum.org
