I'm curious about the evidence that God exists. What is that evidence?

The bible is just the claim, not the evidence. We have no reason to trust it at all.

When I was young there was an old man preacher they are trying to force him to retire and one day he went off sermon and stated that he had to borrow street clothes to go listen to Jesus speak because if he came in his robes that made the people uncomfortable and some of them would leave. And I looked around the room and there's about six or eight of us that were just as shocked from hearing that. He is the only preacher that ever spoke of eternal life as if he knew his existence in his own life. And he is the only preacher that I ever ask God to appear to us one Sunday morning. And there was a light that came into the room like a fire exploding in all directions, like a flame shooting out like a laser in every direction at the same time and the tips of that laser was like a flame you couldn't hardly see through but I can see his outline. I'm on the outside of that was like a blue Waves coming from behind him and turning out away from him three layers deep crashing into each other causing a sound that was undescribable. That was the first time I saw God appear to me. This last year was the second time I saw that come down from the sky and a parted the universe.
Jesus taught did you put God first without a second, but the church put both the Bible and Jesus between man and God. I have no doubt that Jesus was the son of the living God the creator of all creation. But he came as a man to show mankind their true birthright. He did not come as the Lord he wanted to stand beside them and show them what they were created to become. And so many times the translators did not understand God or understand Jesus so they chose the words that made sense to them and must let mankind away from the truth. I thank you for opening the pathway for man to return to the kingdom of God.

So I have a question for him: have you seen Jesus resurrect? No? so in the future it's stated in the Bible that he'll rose from the dead. So you believe the Bible is true because something unnatural will happen in the future? So you believe in the Bible because the book says trust me? Who says that this claim is the truth? have you witnessed it, again? (Also, as the Bible says on the day of judgement we'll all be alive not dead. So are we in this case like Jesus?). For me, if he cannot answer this, as in his PERSONAL belief, then he didn't prove anything, and the question is still open: Why is the Bible true????

That is nonsense. I largely addressed this with my own people in a long prior vid that angered Christians. By not believing in the Bible I largely didn't believe in the resurrection either. A few reasons. First if you can prove many of the parts of the bible incorrect with science in old testament (or NT with a story of the rising of the dead) then there is no reason to take any of it as credible minus there was probably a man named Yeshua and a few apostles. Second, there is no confirmation from anyone who actually knew Jesus. All the tales were written later which by common sense shows an urban legend developed after the fact. Third, all these miracles and God's intervention happened in the Old Testament AND the New Testament. But yet we haven't seen a sign of God for 2000 years. No one. No one you know and no one in your entire living family. So that tells me a religion was simply created no different than every religion. That was my contention which made perfect sense which the Christian tale simply doesn't. Cheers, DCF

I just can't believe that men I don't know wrote a bunch of books.
Then other men I don't know got to pick and choose what books go together to form the bible. They also decide what books I shouldn't read.
Then more men I don't know translated these books supposedly perfectly.
Then more men I don't know find the bible and print it for the world to read.
So now I am supposed to believe that this bible is the infallible word of God. Even though many men I don't know had a hand in turning this into a physical book for me to read and live by.

The Bible is true in the definite sense as a Book. It has verified writings from a past, belonging to Mesopotamian geography. It is a compilation, pieced together by human hands for human interests. The Book itself does not lie, nor hide it's flaws. All penmenship and belief changes at the hands of the educated is documented. It's the interpretation of the material that garners belief. Some beliefs have already been handled, even though some current interpretations might promote otherwise. The problem back in the day, was our ability to pay attention and listen to the Sunday service. Hence, free education and English translations for the public . Who are Christians listening to, instead of reading for themselves?

This guy bobbles on with no real facts… it’s just from a book.. I’m tired of people just explaining by faith or biblical context.. which proves it’s a belief/faith of just Jesus. Not a GOD or creator.

Whatever your feelings after watching the video, the question that I took from it was ‘ can something have an ‘unbelievable’ story aka seems out of this world impossible in how it happened ( life/creation/the Word of God) and yet still be factually true in its content?

Of course the answer is yes— the difference is just in the degree/scale of what we are claiming.


If the God of Christianity wants us to worship him and do what he says, He would layout the evidence/case for us to do so—after all, if he created human beings and we were made in His image like the Bible says than God would already know the way we would think and what we would genuinely need to believe in him.

The fact that people don’t (believe) has no reflection on God not providing proof, it’s solely our unwillingness and sinful nature to resist, suppress and live according to our own will/own religion. If the Bible told us we could do what we wanted , I think a lot more people would choose that God but it doesn’t and for that we dissect the scriptures for all the really really bad stuff that happened in the Bible, judge it by modern standards and conclude ‘well God allowed or did or said X so therefore the whole thing is a wash. Let’s be real!

Truth, evidence, facts, history, those things matter. They can be annoying at times but they keep us accountable to reality and they help us live quality lives.

We pretty much know it isn't. Well first you have to understand, as I say many times in my own vids, that it was written by countless people over centuries separate from each other. And translated through the cultures. And parts may be based on historical events--to an extent. But it has also been modified for the Hebrew culture and later the early Christian viewpoint. The virgin birth is not novel to Christian faith. Neither are the Ten Commandments Christian nor Hebrew. Or the flood story which is neither Christian nor Hebrew. And the real problem is where is the actual evidence for the supernatural? Or actual authorship of witness to Jesus? There is none thus far and period, end of story. Cheers, DCF

It should feel strange the question is focused on the non-supernatural claims of the Bible. After all, isn't it more important to confirm with strong, logical evidence that any god(s) exist than whether some historic battle happened? I sure think so, especially if you're using this vague "Bible is reliable" terminology to justify accepting or rejecting a book's claims whole-cloth (instead of examining each individual claim in isolation, which is the smart way to do it).

The ONLY WORD of God i believe in is Jesus. Bible has to be taken as the evidence and proof for THE WORD OF GOD, not taken as THE word of God in a literal sense.

Dose believe in God, is all a man needed. Then why is Repentance nessasary. We read about it in an ancient history account. We live in the 21st century. Post MODERNISM christianity that teaches, don't feel sorry for your sin just change your mind
(Metanoia) which means just changing your mind that's all you need. The 1st century believers knew that repentance meant a fearful expectation of God's Judgment and Wrath. They had the scriptures, such as what happened on mount Sini, Jonah chapter 3.Sack cloth and ashes, they repented, they didn't just change there minds, James chapter 4. They had the old inspired Scripture. Inthem they understood the Wrath of God, for it His history that He created for His glory. He is Holy, Holy, Holy, and to tamper with this truth is severely prohibited and deadly. Eternal life is taken away.
Some read the SCRIPTURES academically just to gain some insight, however some read it to know that it is the word of God. Always leaning but not able to come to its truth.

So Turek just said IF these four things are true. So he states a presupposition but then provides no evidence to substantiate his claim. Anyone who denies the Bible has the ask the question where does objective truth come from….and what is the basis of that truth?? That is the Bible.

You claimed the four things that would make Christianity true : 1. Truth Exists 2. God Exists 3.Miracles are possible 4.That the New Testament is telling the truth about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So that being said; how did you then conclude point number 4 is true without accepting the BIble is the word of God?

Also it is completely possible to fulfill "prophecy" if you literally have the power to connect the dots and write the story backwards. All you are doing is filling in blanks. This does not in any way make the prophecy real, true or accurate.

The Bible was written AFTER Jesus’ time. Wow. So no, Jesus did not believe the Bible was true. He knew accounts were being written of him but the Bible didn’t exist yet. The Bible came to exist centuries after Jesus. Yet with all due respect, I am supposed to be convinced that this argument is true because “Jesus believed the Bible to be true”. The argument to me is incoherent. I would like to believe but every single argument given to me sounds completely illogical and based on our human feelings and blindly believing in the word of man, that the Bible and God is real. I hope someone can truly convince me. Mind you, I grew up Christian but stopped believing for many reasons. Here I am trying to figure out if I can be reconvinced. Please don’t say that I have to pray or read the Bible, I prayed for many years, no response. I read the Bible now more than when I was a believer. I realized that us humans can believe anything as long as we are indoctrinated and see a shooting star.

The only truth in the bible is the page numbers, every story in it is made up by primitive people who believed that the earth was flat and that the sun revolves around the earth.
