Joe Gomez absolutely went to sleep for the 2 late Spurs goal. Both goals came where the Right CB should have been.
He wasn't even walking for the 2nd, and realized there is a danger about 3 seconds after that cross went in. Completely switched off

Don't you think that Konate and Bradley both got injured in that Madrid game because it was just so intense and it was just one of those nights where it was 100% all out. And that cost them both, and also the energy of the team etc. But also it was worth it because obviously it was a big statement and massive win. But if you look at all the Premiership games, they've not had to go anywhere near that level or arguably been motivated too other than the Newcastle game perhaps. So it's all about management and Slot appears to be an amazing Manager, so that is a good combination!

Great game from Gomez. He's the type of defender who comes in for a run of games every now and then, does a fantastic job, even if he needs a couple of games to get up to his Own level - which is borderline world-class. Totally normal that players need that btw. And we love the guy. Bodied Raheem, always confident, pure Steel, a total professional who has a great partnership with van Dijk and deserves his place in the squad 100%. We'd be nowhere without him

szoboszlai is the lungs of the team on & off the ball. carrying 3 players' worth of piano. he does the hard yards pressing & tracking & then goes everywhere in mid & att thirds to offer for the ball

That quartet of Diaz, Gakpo, Szobo, and Salah was ruthless in this game. It was great to see what these guys are capable of. They completely dismantled this spurs team. Wow! If only the defence did better too. It was still a great game overall.

Joe Gomez is one of our most important backups. I can't say enough about his contribution over the years. Dom was MOTM. This means more! YNWA!

Thanks Laurence for pointing out it's just 'entry level Slot' style of play. Many forget that Slot has just taken over and barely had a pre-season with the core of the team. Can't wait for next season when he manages to have a proper pre-season with possibly new additions/outs. For what he has done thus far, I'm pleasantly shocked.

The problem with Joe is that up until this game he switches off as he's so chill .IF HE COULD keep this intensity we wouldn't be in the market for another centre back

Genuinely I’m impressed with the fact that Liverpool doesn’t have any “Divas” or entitled players in the squad. The team genuinely looks like a team. Everyone views each other as equal.

The Slob's work off the ball is amazing his work ethic is off the chart, yes he's not that pretty to watch but football is a game of teamwork with players who give 110% everytime.

Madristas keep going on about Vinnie Jnr yes he's pretty to watch but his stats are no way near as good as Salahs in a league that isn't as competitive Salah delivers consistently.

Szobo is capable of way better finishing true, but its hard to name a top club where he wouldnt start. U get unreal engine, a unit, but also technical monster with high football iq in one player.

Szoboszlai has turned his attitude on. He tackles, plays hard if necessary, added to his talent and skill, now he´s getting to where at least I expected him to be. He realized he needed to show his teeth to play under Slot, and now he´s doing that. I could tell how good all players were, but others have done it. Let Gomez take a penalty kick when 3-0 up in some game or so! Right?
