Legacies 4x03 Hope tells Alaric that she has to become the Tribrid

Alaric has an obsession with the "you are your father's daughter" phrase. Klaus only turned out like he was because of his horrible parents. Hope had good parents, because despite everything, Klaus was a good father. I get why Alaric hated Klaus but he also knows how much Klaus loved Hope and how good Klaus was with her, HE SAW IT, he saw how Klaus was willing to kill himself to save Hope, using "you are your father's daughter" to guilt tripping her it's just mean, he already did it in 1x02.

I just started watching this type of stuff 2 months ago so if she becomes tribrid is she still gonna like be in her original body but just as a werewolf vampire and witch I’m a little confused

I understand that Klaus did a lot of bad things and why Alaric hates him, but I hate how he tarnishes his image every time Hope does something that reminds him of him. Klaus might have been a villain, but he was the best father to Hope. Plus, Alaric seems to forget that Kai is his daughters' uncle. I was really glad when Hope killed him, because he had it coming. I am sure it wasn't nice for Hope to constantly hear what a villain Klaus was.

The fact that jose and lizze were mad at there dad for what he said

I’m not taking Alaric side but come on every time hope has some big plan that’s SUPPOSED to help someone it always ends bad like locking Hayley in a coffin to get her father back that ended with Hayley being dead or taking back the magic to bring what’s left of her family back left klaus and Elijah dead and now she wants to become the tribrid leaving Landon dead and Alaric in a coma who is now dead and now Lizzie’s a heretic because hope killed her. Every time hope has a plan it ends badly and it’s always plans that she never really thinks through and decisions she makes when she’s emotional. We can’t keep painting hope as some innocent victim when most of her problems with death and being alone are caused by her. Like she alienated the entire school yet except to suddenly become friends with the twins. Like she ignored them yet wants to write a chapter where their friends when them not being friends was of her own making. Hope only continues to prove what everyone thinks of her. That she’s a ticking time bomb who doesn’t really understand the full depths of her powers or the consequences of using them recklessly

Okay so I’m probably gonna get some hate for saying this but I’m going to say it anyway 😂. Alaric deserved to die. He’s one of the most insensitive/hypocritical character on all three shows. Examples 1. When he told Caroline the twins weren’t her’s even after she birthed, raised, and loved them like her own. 2. When he told Jo the twins weren’t hers because Caroline and him raised them. 3. Him comparing Hope to Klaus the evil every time she did something he didn’t like. I mean Alaric has killed people too he’s not an angel 🙄. I get why Alaric doesn’t like Klaus but I mean Damon did horrible stuff just like Klaus yet Damon and Ric our best friends. Both of them were cruel and evil but they both changed for the better yet Alaric refuses to see Klaus from Hope’s point of view. She’s knows who Klaus was but she also knows who her father was and those our technically two different people. But that’s just my two cents. ✌🏾

I swear he loves to pull the insult and then try to backtrack. Being older doesn’t make you right. Even Alaric now in the recent season is so hypocritical and annoying. Suppose to love Hope like a daughter but with her humanity off and after turning Lizzie he quickly is hostile while forgetting what Dark Josie wanted to do and tried to do and also the fact Lizzie knew what was going to happen and she isn’t running home to help him. Seriously he is ridiculous

At this point, Hope has had ENOUGH! Alaric constantly says "You are your father's daughter!' just to make her feel bad. I can guarantee that if Klaus was still alive, he would've whooped Alaric's butt.

Kaleb is such a hypocrite. It didn’t matter when it was just Landon inside Malivore. According to him, Hope is putting everyone in danger by trying to save Landon. But now that he knows Cleo is back inside Malivore too, they need to stop Hope from destroying Malivore. I’m so sick of Kaleb and the rest of their Hypocrisy. Hope and Landon sacrificed so much for them all to get a happy ending but Hope and Landon are separated forever. What a joke

Every time Alaric criticizes Hope he reminds me of Mikael Abusing Klaus as a Child.

Look Alaric is one of my favorite characters but when it comes to Klaus he doesn't think because he's just obsessed with him and it's over 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Alaric has always known who Hope was and yet he never compared her to Klaus, accepted and protected her and loved her as another daughter, but even with all that he never put aside his obsession with Klaus or even for that great love he says he feels for Hope 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. What happened with Klaus happened a long time ago and he as a father should have accepted that Klaus although he was a monster but he was the best father that Hope could have, and precisely for that reason he had to put aside his resentment and hatred towards Klaus and not wanting to stop Hope against her destiny of becoming a trihibid just because she thinks that if she does she would become a copy exactly to him 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. I'm very sorry but every time Alaric speaks badly of Klaus in front of Hope and starts comparing her with the fact that if he does this or does that is the same as him I see it fatal because he does not think about Hope's feelings for that obsession and that resentment he feels towards Klaus, and it is normal that later when Hope loses his humanity he beats him the beating of the century and leaves him on the verge of death for speaking ill of his father whenever he can in front of her when what he should do is admit that Klaus was a great father, that he died to save his daughter and if he really considers Hope one more daughter, leave that hatred he feels towards him for her 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️.
Apart from that I should pray and kiss Klaus' feet because thanks to him and the donation he made was that they were able to open that school for supernatural young people because if it had not been for Klaus they may never have opened that school or it may have taken years to open it 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. So much so that he says that the school is his life and that he wants to protect all the members of that school but if that is possible it was thanks to Klaus so another reason for him to close his mouth and shut up when it comes to speaking badly of him and respecting him because he deserves it 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Klaus was a different person with Hope than he was with everyone else, mostly because he didn’t want to be anything like Mikael who had abused and rejected him his whole life. Even Elijah and Rebekah didn’t see that side of Klaus often and he was the closest with them than his other siblings. Klaus did some horrible things but he changed for Hope. Alaric was a good parental figure to Elena and Jeremy and sometimes to Hope and his own girls but for the most part he was a hypocrite and a bully

I have never seen Alaric as a father to Hope because he is never going to take that away from Klaus. Klaus was ten times a better father and person compared to Alaric. To Me Hope and Alaric’s little father and daughter relationship reminds me of Klaus and Mikael abusive father and son relationship. Another thing I can’t stand Matthew Davis (Alaric Saltzman) Anymore but I love Sebastian Roche (Mikael Mikaelson) he is one of My All Time Favorite Actors.

I think Alaric was talking more about himself then about Hope. And the more I don't agree with the whole you are your father's daughter thing, I understand his fear. Because people seem to forget that Alaric is just human and he's seen and felt it what the Mikaelson's could do. He was a victim of Klaus, Elijah and even Ester. Klaus took over his body, sacrificed his girlfriend, used and killed of his ex wife... so I understand his point of view. I don't agree with certain things. But understand his side.

I always appreciated the character of Alaric in Legacies. So much the flawed father like Klaus, a hardened warrior who softened when he became a father trying so hard to protect his children and Hope and yet an incredibly flawed man who is scared of losing Hope to the worst parts of her father and being blind to the good even when he knows deep down she is the best parts of her father and mother and even him and he also wants her to live a full and happy life and protect her from pain and darkness but he can't do that and yet he tries in his own messy way. We can all debate how good a father he is but considering the world they reside in and the amount of love he has for all the kids and not just his own makes him a overall decent father to me. I found it sad that he chose to walk away from the school in the end since I do think he was good for the school but if there was ever anyone who could take his place it would be Caroline. ❤

“Don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you” a lot of people hate Alaric in this show because of how he treats hope but I actually think the opposite. I think he such an amazing character for it because he sees hope as a daughter and he just messes up his words just like every other character in this universe

I dislike Alaric, he never truly cared about hope . It was ways bout his daughters. Hope truly never has anyone . It's sad. If he cared for hope he would have never turned his back on her. He only let her go to the school to protect his daughters . Nothg was about caring for hope.
