Walked past you guys today at universal
ОтветитьI've never been to Disneyland, but would love those Cocktails and Beignets😎 Kitra, your bangs look Adorable😍💜
ОтветитьPeter's shirt is amazing 👏
ОтветитьBright Suns to you guys today the new food look good and hope you guys had a wonderful day
ОтветитьHometown vlogs would be fun😁
Ответитьi LOVE the song choice for the “Monorail to Disneyland” clip! idk why it made me feel so nostalgic and reminded me of stranger things. wish i was riding the monorail too!! i shazamed it 😂
ОтветитьWhere did kitra get her ewok ears
ОтветитьMy favorite thing was to go by the express window and get a bag of beignets and a bowl of gumbo to go. So sad they are not serving the gumbo to go anymore! 😢
ОтветитьI just watched your home made beignets video and I wanted to let you know you have the wire whip attachment on the mixer. Wrong attachment.😮You probably needed the paddle attachment for these or maybe the dough hook. The wire whip attachment is only for whipped cream or whipped frosting made from the special whip cream for frosting. Good luck if you make again!❤
ОтветитьI think Jazz Kitchen's new esthetic works because it reflects the Cali/NOLA fusion cuisine.
ОтветитьFeel so honored to be in the background of this video lol! Love you guys and your content; the channel is so fun for me and the fam - thanks for being so kind when we said hi!
My thoughts on our meal as an adjunct to your most excellent review:
Wife had the NOLA BBQ shrimp and grits which was pretty tasty. Succulent shrimp without any rubbery texture you sometimes get with scrimps. Sauced appropriately seasoned well with solid Tony Chachere-esque creole flavors, BBQ sweetness, garlic, lemon, and Worcestershire - layered nicely for an overall W. Parmesan grits were thick, creamy, and delicious and the tomatoes worked nicely to balance out some of the richness alongside the BBQ/creole seasoning and lemon. 4/5
French Quarter Po’boy dip was 5 out of 5 - super moist and tender shredded beef on nicely balanced soft/crusty french roll with an outstanding, savory and spicy au jus for dipping; the jus wasn’t your typical broth either it was thicker with an almost lighter gravy like consistency: nice and salty with lots of umami and a good hit of paprika and cayenne based creole spice. Complimented quite well with jammy caramelized onions and the crisp bite of some vinegary pickled peppers to balance out the savoriness of the overall piece. (soaked up every bit of that flavor blasted jus)
The bananas foster beignets blew me away. Denser than Disneyland beignets, served piping hot with a sticky, super sweet caramel like glaze - felt like there was banana incorporated into the actual batter itself. Rich brown sugar and deep banana flavors alongside that classic yeasty, warm breakfast pastry platform; Soft with some bite/chewiness to them like thicc clouds of happiness. Served with a perfectly done creme anglaise as the finishing touch. Only thing that would improve this dish would be a dark, strong, piping hot cup of coffee laced with chicory. 10/10 I’d eat these for days.
Only negative that comes to mind was French fries weren’t super hot when our plates came out. I also ordered a mocktail, Strawberry Nojito which was refreshing, but in keeping with Disney drink tradition was extremely sweet. I prefer my drinks a bit more dry but that’s just a personal preference. Kids meal was flatbread pizza which was firmly mid IMO but my 8 year old loved it.
Can’t speak much to the revamp as this was the first time I’d eaten here but overall very pleased. For anyone wondering about all the criticism surrounding the remodel: it does feel a bit “bare” in person as far as decor goes and orange as a central color theme is always hard to pull off; Still, the space is pleasantly open with spacious breezeways and lots of natural light overall. IMO a bit more of a thematic touch here would go a long way. Concur on the excellence of the views here from several positions; perfect for DD people watching.
Cheers!
Green is my favorite color too, Peter! Excellent content as usual guys! 👊🏼🙏🏼
ОтветитьIt looks like the food court at the Mall
ОтветитьWhich do you think is better…..Jazz Kitchen Beignets or Knotts Berry Farm 🤔
ОтветитьGenuinely sad by this remodel. The man and cheese they used to have was so delicious. The theming used to be amazing
ОтветитьLove your haircut Kitra! Super cute:)
ОтветитьI went to downtown Disney in April . I want to eat at jazz . We ate at the earl tavern . The lobster po boy looks good
ОтветитьYou guys are awesome🔥🤗
ОтветитьWalt Disney always hated McDonalds 🤮
ОтветитьNot a Po-Boy ! But looks absolutely amazing lol
5 out of 5 🌟 video you guys
Delicious! My grandkids asked me what being proud meant, and I don't have an answer. Can you explain what it means, and the link to Disneyland? That would help...they keep asking. Love the hidden Mickey in Toontown! Thanks for showing it. Kitra's ears are so cute!!
ОтветитьI love Kitra’s Joey Chou loungefly!
ОтветитьLove your videos! ❤
Ответитьwow the food looks incredible! We are running in Jan the half -- how much of downtown disney do you think will be finished and ready? any advice on pasta dinner the night before the race?
ОтветитьKitra I ❤ your Ewok ears
ОтветитьLove your videos! Hope to see you at pride night!
ОтветитьI want that “I love you 3,000” pride shirt SO BADLY!
ОтветитьYummy 🤤✌️
ОтветитьI love the bathroom redesign…
ОтветитьLove the food (Never had a beignet. Need one now) but oh my God, I need that Jabba T-shirt for my Jabba collection!!!
ОтветитьNo thanks..........
ОтветитьYou made it look so delish!
ОтветитьImagine if they actually had live jazz there.
ОтветитьDefinitely agree with the opening comment. Not too sure of the new design. Didn't get to sample it last week when at Disney. The esthetics didn't draw me in. But since this video...maybe next time.
Ответитьsooooo i’m bummed about the jazz kitchen 😫😅
ОтветитьWe saw you filming this when we were there. Thank you so much for all your great content. It really helped us plan a great trip!
Ответитьthe drinks sound so good omg
ОтветитьI'm VERY PROUD of the CA theme to this restaurant because it ties into California Adventure and let's this stand out in Anaheim 🎉
Ответитьthis couple transmits the joy intended in the location, their enthusiasm really brings a lot to the skilled presentation. I appreciate that, since I often lack the enthusiasm to attend such places, but retain a childhood memory of this kind of stuff as the greatest, so I am gratified to have such a pleasurable way to get updated on this stuff.
ОтветитьAtrocious
ОтветитьThanks for sharing 🙏🏽🇺🇸❤️🥰👼🏾💥💞🧜♀️🧜♀️
ОтветитьOh no! No hate on the video but…the old one was so good! I love ralph brennens. This has got to be Disney cheapening out.
Is it still owned by the Ralph Brennens? I hope the food is okay.
Oh okay. I should wait to watch the whole video. Why did they take his name off of it?
I don't know how yall could eat all of that food, but it looks great! I am going to try to eat there the first night of my December '23 trip.
ОтветитьWhat do you mean you’ve never had a poboy that has been on a baguette?! 😢 Then you’ve NEVER had a real poboy. It was originated using a French Baguette. Please visit New Orleans.
Ответитьwho decided, ya this'll be a good idea?
why would you take theming out anything at disney
whats the point if it looks like any other restaurant.
im all for change, but this is regressing, they've been making a lot of decisions like this that im really not liking and I use to think disney could do no wrong.
idk whose in charge but, someone needs to be fired, these are big changes that are going to be there for a while and if they keep going this direction, what is the point of going?
why go to disneywalk as pposed to any other mall?
disney is suppose to be a place where you can experience things you can't anywhere else, they were the top tier at that.
universals kind of winning in delivering that the past few years, please don't keep doing this disney, is this really working? I don't get it, i don't see anyone happy with these changes, at best i just see indifference to them and that shouldn't be your goal lol.
people should be in awe when stepping into anything disney related
also ive always wanted to eat there because of the new orleans theming and now im never going to get to experience that
ОтветитьI finally tried this renovated version of jazz kitchen. I am sorry but the old look had more personality in my opinion also they had live jazz music sometimes downstairs and I miss it this just feels Cookiecutter to me. If it’s not broken don’t fix it 😭
ОтветитьLove your bangs, Ketra! You look so cute!
ОтветитьHi Kitra and Peter I love it when Chris joins you he's so funny and very cute too❤❤❤ hope you guys are having a amazing day😊😊😊😊😊
ОтветитьI know the Chefs there, they are super cool and very knowledgeable in culinary. In my past year of learning in the kitchen I got to work with one of the chef, I learned so much that I finally got a job at Jazz Kitchen. This is my dream! I can't wait to start working and making beautiful dishes!
