I actually feel a Little Bit BITTER, because although these are supposed to be ethical, these days everyone in a business setting uses these things and it has become meaningless, particularly now that more people have become aware. For example, these days so many companies, be it airlines, supermarkets, online stores, have "loyalty" points and/or cards.
So when you go to buy something, if you have one of the cards, you get a better price. All of them do it now and its become a real pain to register with all these places, and you end up bombarded with ads and emails from them. Plus, many are phone apps. Well what if you neither have nor want a smartphone? or heaven forbid, have no email address? You ahve to pay more because you aren't doing what everyone else is doing. The entire world has become one big scam-a-rama, and I find it very depressing.
