This is one of the reasons why I would love to live until 200, just to see and experience the advancements that we have in the future.

you're so wrong about people wanting to wear these in public people don't even want to wear normal glasses cause they're extremely annoying on your face so stop making AR glasses look like normal glasses. there is a reason why contacts exist.

social media is such a boring and useless application of this tech. what is humanity wasting their resources on. augmented surgery, construction, cooking (i'll give em that one) is more like it. hopefully this spills into that.

Honestly i prefer the split glasses, it just looks so much cleaner. Also it would be really cool if i could just have an APP on my phone instead of the separate computer.

At the end of the day the best selling AR glasses IMO will be those that act as an extension of your smartphone, rather than a standalone device. They will be cheaper, lighter and readily acceptable to the mass market.

again they need to stray away from making them look like actual glasses and be more creative. much rather have bigscreen beyonds form factor. that way you can block out any light leakage.
look how massive these glasses look no one is ever going to wear them anyway so why are they trying to make them look like regular glasses? most people don't even wear glasses.
most people are also not as tall as marques, and his head is also much bigger than your average person. i don't understand what meta is thinking when they develop these products. it's like people have a hard time with forward thinking. not even that because these glasses have been around for years now and they all look ridiculously large.
i would never wear them because of the form factor alone i also don't like things resting on my nose and ears like most people.

My issue here is that if these ever hit the market, the social media companies can and will constantly invade your privacy and the privacy of everyone around you to gather data for algorithms. Even if you’re not opted in, as long as one person in a room of 100 is wearing them, it can gather data on everyone. They already do it from our phones, but this will definitely increase their ability to do so massively.

I’d not be comfortable talking to someone wearing these as they could be recording. Even if they build a mechanism so that if a user is recording it has a light on the glasses so you know they’re recording, the companymay be recording without that safeguard, and also a hacker could easily jailbreak these and make it capable of recording with no warning.

As if our society isn’t already dystopian enough

Not sure how feasible this is but it would be amazing if the tinting of the glass could be adjusted locally. So that only the parts with visuals are tinted! Making them more opaque
