This is a re-upload because the other one was a bit too much with the text boxes, and I'd rather some people get lost with some minute detail than everyone be overwhelmed with information.
Yes, I'm going to do a MUCH more in depth tutorial after this that's filled with practical examples, but hopefully this will familiarize you with the basics of how they work mechanically.
Hopefully this is a good enough introduction. And I stand by that you don't actually need to know anything beyond this to use circuits effectively in normal gameplay.
what
ОтветитьGreat video. I have a questionthat is not corresponding to the title.
How do you enter to this type of game mode/editor mode, where you have no map, but just chess tiles and an engineer character? I have seen that people can enter this mode just from the game to show viewers some things, and then just get back to normal world.
How is it done?
Dude, you're amazing
ОтветитьYeah, Im gonna skip circuits networks entirely but this was a great vid nonetheless.
ОтветитьThank you for this. I've been too intimidated to try learning circuits for a long time, I do not have a good brain for this stuff.
Played the game off and on for years before I FINALLY tried to set up a basic control circuit, where the chain of assemblers needed for Destroyer capsules only turns on when there are <100 Destroyer capsules in the chest. Achieves the same effect I've been doing for a long time by just limiting storage space on belts/in chests, but much cleaner. And I used that knowledge to set up circuits for oil cracking so I don't have to monitor the tanks. Then set up circuits managing my Uranium supply. Not a final/permanent solution, but SO much better.
Felt like a pretty big achievement for me. Made me feel like I could actually watch this video and get something from it. Now my brain is just percolating all little circuits I want to set up with lights and everything. Maybe I can actually do an Ultracube run, Seablock, Krastorio...
I need one updated for space age with more info and better details one how things work. I'm very dumb.
Ответитьdidnt understood a single idea transmited here... its too abstract for me.
Ответитьwe need a 2.0 version pls🥺
ОтветитьI'm too stupid for this. Guess I'll stick with the robots
ОтветитьWhere is the explanation?
ОтветитьMy dude said it was simple. 😂
Ответитьthat space station 13 clown horn at the intro gave me a little whiplash
ОтветитьTop tier
ОтветитьThis will probably need a redo with 2.1 when it hits.
Because red and green may finally be separated if we wish to do so yay.
More confused than before watching this video....
ОтветитьI still don't understand
ОтветитьAre you going to do a 2.0 version?
ОтветитьWill you be updating one of your circuit network guides to account for the new circuit items we got in space age?
ОтветитьWhere's the advanced course?
ОтветитьThat was great, thanks!
ОтветитьStill don't know when and why I would use these wires.
ОтветитьNope still does not make any sense..
Ответитьmy brain melt
Ответитьhow to disconnect red or green wire?
ОтветитьHuuuh nothing works for me -_-
Ответитьjust started playing and after 5 restart due to spaghetti i unloced thesethings. And i am so confused lol
ОтветитьThe Each signal was a huge boon
ОтветитьTOO FAST ;-; REEEEALLY TOO FAST ;-;
Ответитьoh yeah man, just what i wanted low level programing in my games
ОтветитьNice that a factorio help vid isn't 50 mins but God dam MATH!
Been trying to figure out destination full on trains and I more confused as ever.
seems overcomplicated and useless
Ответитьmy mom told me to stop munching on the green wire and give red wire a try
ОтветитьLearned more in 3 minutes than 2 hours in the tutorial and my creative world. They should just hire you.
ОтветитьWanted to make a switch for my liquid pumps... Didnt understand a thing.
ОтветитьKnowing how the "Output input count" setting on comparison combinators actually works makes me realize they could be used as a multiplexer.
Ответить10/10
ОтветитьImportant note (Dosh please pin): As of the Space Age update a few things in this video are outdated;
The "exhaustive list" of items is no longer exhaustive. Some entities that previously weren't compatible with circuits have become compatible (most notably assemblers), plus some brand-new entities exist.
Circuits are no longer craftable items. Instead, there is a button you can click on the HUD that allows you to add and remove circuits from things, at zero resource cost.
Well concecting the exit whit the entrance is in fact a mechanic to make a sr latch, one of the best ways to control the latch of múltiple things
ОтветитьLotsa people sucking up in the comments, but I had to keep pausing the video and nothing in it actually answered any of the questions I had about circuit networks. The basics are obvious.
ОтветитьNow it's out of date so clearly you need to make a new version for factorio 2.0 ;)
ОтветитьHey Dosh,
are there more parts yet?
We need an updated version of this now that there’s more stuff!! 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьFinally a tutorial that doesn't have some guy with a microphone set to the lowest volume yapping for 50 minutes
ОтветитьWhat Is the purpose of this?
ОтветитьI couldn't understand a single word
ОтветитьThey're a little different after 2.0 - easier to understand, I think. But some people are stubbornly playing old versions so this will continue to be useful (if you re title it!)
ОтветитьStill lost me at 50 seconds.
ОтветитьI understand the words used but learned nothing
Ответитьthats the basics? oh dear... what exactly is the reason one needs to wire at all? I just started so i haven't unlocked wires yet
Ответить
