I mean it makes sense when you learn on how they grow up their planet from what I remember tidally locked so only the middle ring of the planet is hospital and they had big storms animals that hunted in packs. Not to forget they had to deal with being in the outer rim close to hut space dealing with constantly being sold into slavery

Anything but a Twi'lek. It would be nice if the legends mentioned a Neimoidian Sith who helped found the Trade Federation. It would explain the long partnership between the Sith and the Neimoidians. It could have been Tenebrous' master. Although in the novel it was a Twi'lek. But a Neimoidian would fit the role of an annoying and senile old man. When the Neimoidian Sith was building up the Federation's trade fleet, he met Bith, a force-sensitive ship's engineer. That's my opinion.

This makes them fantastic characters to depict on book covers to appeal to young males

Regarding what would happen to the slave market if a Twilek Sith took over Ryloth; remember Yuthura Ban from KOTOR. She joined the Sith to free slaves, but the Dark Side corrupts by its very nature. By the time we meet her, she no longer cares. In fact, I think she may even have owned her own slaves (I might be wrong there). It is possible to redeem her, but it would take someone both powerful and charismatic like Revan to do it.

There's a lot of potential that Didney Wars will not ever touch on, like the Twi'lek selling their own, and how the line between "slave" and "free man" gets blurred in a slave-based society, to the point where it is entirely possible for people to want to be slaves in many circumstances. All the general information concerning twi'leks was more interesting than the Sith angle.

The other problem is due to population, the higher population of a species there is the more likely you'd have larger numbers of Sith/Jedi.

I've found in the real world that those with a predilection towards the negative emotions that dominate the dark side tend to also be victims and the abused people the world has spat on so don't judge people based on their anger cuz you don't know where it came from

one thing many forget or often outright deny the truth of is sure the sith regularly had forced servitude but unlike probably every other culture in the galaxy they were also some of the most likely to free their own servants as well if they show merits to be worthy of being uplifted from their low cast such as force sensitivity or other things they considered worthy nor did all of them see the practice as a good thing especially to the extremes of some other cultures like the hutts often take the practice
