Is his W Engine a good option for Lykaeon and Koleda? Been thinking of pulling a copy despite not having Lighter.

In lucy-burnice-lighter, the score is higher for 4pc inferno lighter than support/stun lighter.
And lighter's best combo is actually;
basic > forward dash > tap EX (alt form) > finish basic combo

This alt EX form is much shorter and useful than the default EX, also better at procing hellfire.
The forward dash, over normal dash, is useful for going after the enemy.

Very surprised this was missed both times in both guides, but as a Hellfire Gears Lighter user, W1 Hellfire Gears does reach 270 impact in combat if you pay attention to, and use, 2 EX's before entering Morale Burst. Double EX into Dodge Counter is a very easy and comfortable combo to reach this point. You can even on-field him, double EX when he reaches 80 Morale, animation cancel swap off, then swap back in for the immediate quick assist into Morale Burst at max morale.

EDIT: I have also been informed of a shuffle combo from this reply chain, by using Dodge -> Ex -> Dodge -> Ex to skip the entire uppercut animation and still get double casts off. The downside to this method though is that you do not get the reduced energy cost from the 2nd ex cast, both cost the initial energy amount to use, so pay attention to the energy when using this.

As for the math:
Base Impact on Lighter with Hellfire Gears, Core F, Impact [6] and Shockstar 2p = 194

With Core E it's still 194 but the impact gain from Morale Burst is scaled to a maximum of 18.3% instead of 20%; in any case, with Core F, 194 x .2 = 38.8, round up to 39

Hellfire Gears is also a 20% Impact Gain for 2 EX Specials cast, 194 x .2 = 38.8, round up to 39

in combat both of these are applied additively, so 194 + 39 + 39 = 272 Impact in combat, which reaches the 270 threshold for the 75% buff.

If this was Core E instead, you'd have 194 + 39 + 36 = 269, which means it's literally ONE impact short of max buff and would grant you a 74% buff.

After Hugo and his engine i'm HOPING to pull for Lighter Wengine. Assuming Hugo pulls don't screw me over!

some leakers say that yi xuan is going to fit in evelyn's team, I'm not really fond of lighter but i need someone for evelyn's team, what do you guys say? Should I wait?

As an M2 + Sig1 Lighter main since his release thank you for the guide! It was great! I am usually an ice character lover and main but since Lighter came on the scene he's been one of my favorite characters to play when it comes to style, coolness factor, kit, play style and usability! Apparently my build i have on your site has me at a top 3% on him and even if it's not true i just love the character and hope i can find more better pieces and get at least two or three god roll discs on him! :)

Also a cool tip for him I can give players is that when he's attacking an enemy if you dodge during attacks he enters a special shuffle dodge state, if you do and have EX special and press it during it he can do a quick double punch attack! The best thing about it is even during mid combo he resumes whatever combo he was doing after he does the attack, so he won't be interrupted when he does it! Good luck Lighter pullers and new Lighter players!

@iamrivenous I recently got Lighter for Evelyn and I have a question regarding Hellfire Gears and Lighter's rotation with that engine. I heard everywhere that he has to do EX1 and EX2 before Morale Burst, but I realized that Lighter can do 2 EX quickly while in Morale Burst by Shuffle Dodging and pressing EX consecutively and then repeating it one more time. This Consumes 80 Energy instead of 60 but makes him less clunky to play with hellfire. This also allows to QA with 80-ish morale and still consume 100 because of the 80 Energy spent while doing the Morale Burst.

Does this not work because of Elation snapshotting Lighter's Impact on the buff application since Hellfire can only max buff after the second EX? or am I missing something else entirely here?
