so I tested the damage of the crossbow on experimental last night. My friend shot me in the leg from about 5 metres away and killed me instantly and I had full health, seems OP at the moment but I'm sure this will be balanced with patches before the update hits stable. Also I've been able to retrieve bolts from walls and other static objects I've shot it at but I can't retrieve the bolts from infected yet, only when infected despawn can I retrieve the crossbow bolt. Again this will probably be worked out before hitting stable branch. neat vid marks, have a great weekend mate. 👍

I wonder why the Crossbow can't take Russian optics when the Crossbow spawns in domestic locations like hunting shacks, you'd think it would be a Russian or Chernarussian made weapon.

How much inventory space will it take up? How big is it?

Shooting an arrow into a door then opening or closing the same door, kicks you off the server. I’m not sure if it happens on pc but it does happen on Xbox.

You can retrive arrows from zombies, if you bury them, same with wolves. ;)

Oh I've killed a few bears, it's a challenge but very possible! Marks I have a death match server with a bear that randomly spawns every 10 mins.
Look for "Castle Crashers"
The crossbow is a random load out so F11 until you get one.

The Crossbow doesn’t take the pistol scope that’s lame

using the modded crossbows, that could attached the pistol optic, in offline mode i was able to figure out how to put a crossbow bolt out to 300 meters reliably, by zeroing to the max of 150 meters, there is a gold notch that is visible in the scope thats apart of the model, well i figured out i touched it on someone's head it would hit around 250 meters and aiming towards the bottom of the scope was around 350 meters max range....never got to try it on a live server sadly

I just wish you could base raid with it lol shoot, pick up bolt, shoot, pick up bolt, etc. I shot a guy in the chest and he didn't die though. He had a pate carrier on, and it ruined it. Switched to AUG and finished him. He had no idea where the shot came from. The stealth is amazing

But how to repair the crossbow or the arrows? I used the cleaning kit but nothing work ...

The arrows are so shit to grab back was using it yesterday they need to fix grabbing the arrow about 80 percent of the time you won’t be able to grab it because it’s glitchy. I was only able to retrieve like 2 from zombies had to hurry the body or wait for it to despawn then the arrows are just floating.

Can a tire repair kit be used to repair them as well Marks?

Since you can’t get your arrows back from zombies yet it’s hard to judge how useful it is.. not sure how many uses you get out of the arrows

I don't know if it's a bug but I can't load my crosbow. When I try to load it his hand does pump shotgun animation and sound.
