You forgot to mention the scenes with a bunch of all white government guys all sitting in a dark room with a bunch of computer screens with William Forsythe or Billy Bob Thornton standing up telling everyone what to do while the daughter/wife of the main character stands there behind them all on the verge of tears watching the screens. And one of the last scenes when all hope seems lost the Billy Bob Thornton boss guy finally sits down and puts his face in his hands while the wife/daughter is now in a different room with her head pressed against another tv screen, and following this scene is a blurry shot of some foreign country (most likely somewhere in Asia) in a rural area with some children playing and their parents watching or some people inside some chapel praying, all with sad female ethereal vocals playing

I think the main problem with Bay is that he is just too obsessed with special effects and explosions. That's not to say they can't be in the movie, but you need to always put the story first, or at least as first as possible. I don't think Michael Bay is the worst director out there, but I do think he could try and learn from his past movies (i.e., Transformers 4 and 5, and TMNT 2014).

Like every other director, Michael Bay definitely has potential (as seen in the first Transformers movie from 2007). I don't know the full story behind it, but yeah, I would say Michael Bay is a pretty weak director.

Another time he shows his honor is here “ is the fate of cybertron not worth a single human life” (megatron)”you’ll never stop at one” (prime) because of the promise he made to not kill humans on account of how “freedom is the right of all sentient beings”

later on in the story he meets Cade Yeager a kindhearted scientist who also save his life from the human mercs hunting his kind down like dogs and are super ungrateful for the three times they saved earth prior. So he makes a bond with this human;And when going to KSI headquarters for answers on his friends murders despite the fact that “they slaughtered my ratchet” (prime) his comrade of at least a 1000 years he lets them off Scott free. He only kills one human later on in the story when his new best friend cade is at gun point with the barrel of the gun pointed at him about to die ,not wanting to fail him like he had sam by letting him get killed in revenge of the fallen.he saves cade from attinger. Because he “defends this family”,(Prime) which is reciprocated by cade later when his mind gets scrambling by quintessa and cade never gives up on him and stops the knights of iocon from killing him repaying the life debt he owed him.
defending his friend (primes) honor to them.showing that the “Honor to the end” is not just a quote but primes and the auto bots entire code of life..
