I freakin love Lands. It’s a deck that is actually so complicated, and you played it so tight. GGs!
ОтветитьLands lands lands hell yeah Phil
ОтветитьHey Phill, very nice playthrough, i want to ask you if you think that the valakut exploration engine could be put into an 8mulch kind of strategy (manabond/field of the dead). Potentially it could trigger a massive valakut. And if so what do you think it could be trimmed from the original deck? Gg
ОтветитьAs you say in the end, pairing against fair blue stuff was really really fortunate. I was still happy to see how well this did compared to the 8mulch piles. (that i enjoy)
ОтветитьBrother, I'm a regular viewer. What do you mean "watch during the week"? I eat up your videos whole, every day.
We don't fuck around in this university of Thraben.
Talon Gates and Echoing Deeps are much better in a GW deck with Elf and Knight. Since you only have Crop Rotation as an instant speed way to get them, I believe that cutting them was correct.
ОтветитьI love this deck! Great play by you also!
Ответитьround 4. so sick Phil
Ответить5-0 league with Lands...
The Comments: P A P E R
I'm curious, is it better to cast mox diamond, no imprint, for bigger constructs in round 2 or let it exile for damage?
ОтветитьHi Phil. I appreciate your advice after the first game -- but I still refuse to mulligan. I just cannot accept going down on cards!! (Keep up the great content)
ОтветитьMiss you paper
ОтветитьWe want the paper! We want the paper!
ОтветитьThis is the utopia Legacy could be if Oops was banned out. Not a single match against combo leads to an absolutely legendary league.
ОтветитьPhil from the future with great new and the paper in the background on the left gone..what a video
ОтветитьHell yeah...love me RG lands
Ответитьwe love to see videos without oops or nadu!
ОтветитьThis was rather well played, I did get sad when you didn’t play the taiga off the valakut exploration because of exactly what happened in round 4, but at least it made the game a lot more interesting than it would’ve been otherwise. In my experience, using valakut exploration primarily as a card advantage engine that incidentally finishes the game once you have it locked up was more successful than trying to race with it. Lands can basically always make any deck that relies on the combat step unable to win the game once you’ve assembled an engine like that, and winning almost attends to itself at that point.
Ответитьi think its really interesting how last year kaito was a cute tech pic people were considering, and now all of a sudden its become this dominant tempo-control finisher
ОтветитьBest league of the year so far
ОтветитьI want the paper back <\3
ОтветитьBeautiful league Phil, I really enjoyed watching.
ОтветитьI think R1M1 was fine assuming he planned to surveil land. Like looking at what happened he had his land 4 down. If you didnt lead on wasteland he fetches a surveil land bins the top and then brainstorms into a land. From there he may have had a better match. No excuse for game 2 though.
ОтветитьThat's a lot of Dimir 😂
ОтветитьWow, great 5 games, love the lands decks. Impressed with VE
ОтветитьNotice how this league was one of the best, most interactive leagues in a while and it's also a league where you never encountered oops all spells 🤔
Ответитьlands is the best
ОтветитьAweosme run!
ОтветитьI've been putting together a lands list for Canadian Highlander and this reminded me that Valakut Exploration absolutely has to be in there!
ОтветитьThis video healed my soul. I tend to prefer fair blue decks, but seeing Valakut Exploration pop off the way it did in some of the rounds is just perfection. 10/10 video.
ОтветитьThat was an absolutely wonderful league, damn I'm proud of you and the deck there. As a Goblins player, playing against Lands is always stressful but so much fun! I really hope this is noticed and we see a small resurgence in Lands players.
ОтветитьExploration into bojuka bog was insane! I love your commentary "from the top rope!"
ОтветитьAwesome league content! The opponents decks reminded me that this metagame seems so healthy, especially compared to when Scam was every single match. I dont miss watching those matches!
ОтветитьVeni vidi vici
ОтветитьRemember kids, do mulligans at home.
ОтветитьI don't agree with your comment in the first game "that the hand was likely to brainstorm lock itself". He potentially had fetch, wasteland, beanstalk and counterspells in hand. Maybe he counted on the extra surveil from the fetchland or getting a green mana with it. You playing the face up wasteland turn one is probably what caused the hand to collapse. Playing the brainstorm in the endstep is questionable though. He probably hoped to get beanstalk going as he knew he got a tough matchup with lands
ОтветитьWill certainly take me multiple times to watch, but let's go!
ОтветитьLove a good lands league
ОтветитьWe need the background paper back
ОтветитьA paper meme is born lmaooo
SICK league though dude WP, if I wasn't poor i'd pay to see more of this bad boy in action.
That last round was so amusing. Bog from the top then consign on DD.
ОтветитьFun league. Worth working through slowly
ОтветитьWhy are you so hesitant of procking dark depth? Especially in game 2 of round 4 where there was barely a cost to it while you were ran over by creatures
Ответитьdamn legacy is such a funky format, i was not expecting to see kaito here (i am a modern player so im not really sure how the legacy meta works tbh)
ОтветитьA field of the dead could work wonders there.
ОтветитьYour gleeful ‘Bojuka Bog from the top rope’ call is probably my favourite piece of magic content so far this year. Was very fun
