Too bad I have a retarded eye condition so unfortunately I can't see movement and motion accurately. I can only partially see the movement but not the smoothness or fludity. I have never seen what a high refresh rate looks like despite having a high refresh rate monitor and I don't know what people mean by smoothness. When I look at 60hz I see no lag because of this stupid ass eye condition. I remember a year ago I couldn't see high refresh in fast motion but in slow motion I could see it in gaming videos and phone videos. Now my vision is getting worse I am more blind then before and the sad part is the doctors aren't going to help me fix my condition.

i have an iphone 14. if you are not a gamer and have minimal use (mainly photos, messaging, and reminder), that difference is not a problem. what i consider nerve wrenching is when apps crash or are not responsive. i had a problem with outlook not updating inbox and sent items. that's a big issue for me. I have been using iphone 14 for one year and never had any other problem. not that i would not like to have at least 90 herz or that i do not notice the difference. i can live with 60 herz, and so can anyone.

I've had 244hz 120hz and 60hz computer monitors. I've never been able to tell the difference. I stick to 60 now because it's all nonsense to me. I have bad eyes so that's probably why but IRL I don't see a single difference ever.

But nowadays, phones are made with 90-120hz refresh rate, so in that case, does 60 hz work well?

you don't need higher than 60hz refresh rate display on mobile phones, you will not see the difference because of the small size. higher refresh rate is only effective on gaming monitors above 27 inches or tv for gaming consoles. only gaming pc and latest gen consoles can produce high fps for higher refresh rate. even movies or videos is decent on 30 and 60fps max for 60hz. as a gamer for me higher than 60hz on mobiles phones was just a gimmick, btw human eyes cannot see slow motion things

If you have to slow the video down to see the difference there was none to begin with. Barely visible with the naked eye, and completely an after thought for the common buyer.

So i just purchased a z fold 3 and the battery life is terrible. I decided to keep my phone on 60 Hz because i am not a gamer and I don’t care about scrolling smoothness. The battery life Is much better at 60 hz. “Hey samsung, how about not giving me features on my phone that punish me if i use them!”

i have an s20 fe and it's insanely laggy. I'm starting to think maybe I should refund mine. yours is way smoother. (i have a video on my page)
is yours the exynos or snapdragon version btw? mine is exynos so I was suspicious that it could be the chipset

120Hz and WQHD+ resolution settings in 95% of scenarios are just an unnecessary additional drain on your battery. This is ridiculous because the video is in slowmo. Of course there's a difference but there is of course no discussion of PRACTICAL BENEFITS. If you use your phone for gaming and/or aren't sensitive to trying to have to eek out as much battery life as possible, sure, go for it. But it's sort of like the difference between WQHD+ and FHD+ resolution. WQHD+ is basically useless. Even if you're watching 4K video or playing 4K games, the pixel density is so high on these phones, there's a barely noticeable visible difference and again, to what PRACTICAL BENEFIT? Some people just like the feel of knowing they're using these higher settings.
