Best Studio SUBWOOFER for Mixing & Music Production at home

KRK 8s it is !

The JBL sub looks like low-budget Chinese junk. Downfiring membrane -- bad idea (particularly when you have family members or neighbors downstairs from you). The "Club Mode" gimmick -- plueese. BTW, I own six 1st generation (no junky-glossy piano lacquer finish on those) JBL 5-inch monitors, love them to death. But this sub of theirs is a non-starter for me. BTW, the JBL sub has zero RCA connectors on it, based on what we see on the rear panel here, so what the heck is this chap talking about it having RCA jacks? Gee-whiz, Louise.

I just got the KRK S8.4 (not the 8s shown here but similiar). It is fantastic. But, it's prob too big (sound not size) for my home studio/setup lol. But it's a great product. I'm loving it.

WHERE IS RCA INPUT ON JBL SUBWOOFER SHOW ME.

IMO: The Subpac is great for games.... Dumb for music mixing. It's NOT a subwoofer.... it's a toy.

I got a Yahama NS-SW40 that I use with my Mackie CR-3’s. Seems to do the job for my use.

I was able to snag the JBL at Sweetwater for 365 after tax! Not a bad deal for what sounds like a super smooth experience. I was considering going for something more budget, but after you said that some of the lower end ones were more "thumpy" than smooth, that was all I needed to hear to be sold on the JBL. Great video!

no men, because of your great review of the arturia keylab mk2 I bought it and it is a real piece of crap, you said that the keybed was good and it is impossible to play there, nuance on this keyboard is simply impossible. This controller is made for people who don't know how to play, those who only work with loops for that kind of musical garbage. Sadly I can't return it so I'll have to live with this garbage thanks to your recommendation, obviously you're paid to lie. Seeing that you have good playing technique, I believed you but you lie.

I have studio monitors! and a subwoofer from a home theater, tell me, does it make a difference which subwoofer to use? studio or home theater?

I've been stuck with an old Polk home theater sub, and finally, finally I can upgrade it. Not sure what to get, I have decent monitors with a sub rca out.

I followed your advice and bought the JBL LSR310s. It worked really well with my Presonus Eris 8 studio monitors, until one day... it suddenly started putting out really low volume to my Eris monitors. I bypassed the JBL sub and went straight into my Eric 8 speakers and the volume and punch went back up. So I bought new cables and connected the Eris monitors back to the JBL sub.... low volume output into the Eris monitors again... no distortion... just really low volume and no punch....

This is driving me insane!!

Can't really have a title of "best sub" and compare a bunch of cheap ones. I'd expect Adam Sub10/sub12, eve, dynaudio, and you know.. the good and accurate subs

Great video, but you need a bit of work on your hissing sounds.. Your "s'es" have a huge trail...

Was using the JBLsr10 with my Yamaha hs5s and I thought it was fine, I now just got the KRK S8.4 and wow, I would argue its better than JBL for an even better price. definitely rocking with KRK from now on I heard things I never heard on the JBL
