Abortion bans are doing the exact opposite of what you guys want them to do. Infant mortality has risen in states with bans as well as the mortality rate for women. It was never about saving babies. Majority of women seeking abortions have complications where the baby isn’t gonna live anyway. The baby still dies and in some cases, the mother dies as well. Also, the number of abortions has not decreased like you guys thought it would. It’s actually increasing. And the number of women getting pregnant is decreasing as well. Abortion bans don’t make women want to get pregnant. I used to want to have children with my husband but we don’t wanna risk anything so getting pregnant is off the table.

What will happen is the pro force birthers will go to court to have the results tossed. Then there's the court case because they will try and rewrite it in a way it's useless to protect women. The there are the lawsuits on their view of how it should be applied. Be a a year or 2 before it's applied. They say they want to leave it to the states, but the reality,they don't. They will push through a no exception federal abortion ban.

Leave it to the states - but if the voters in that state decide that the right to abortions should be protected, the Republicans are still fully committed to denying women the right to access that abortion health care.

Don't worry even if it passes the governor in that state will override the vote and stop it because that's what the Missouri governor does

Just remember, if 3 doesn't pass, you can forget about obgyn checkups, pregnancy care, and if your baby dies in utero, you will die. Vote yes on 3 if you want reproductive rights

For the entire time human females have been on this earth they have controlled their fertility and terminated pregnancies using the best methods available at the time. It is IMPOSSIBLE to prevent abortions and it is foolish to try. So why do Republicans bother? The people that oppose abortion are a shrinking MINORITY of the population whereas the people that want abortion available are an increasing majority of the population. Basically Republicans are driving away the people they need to be a viable political party in just a few years. If Republicans were smart they would just go silent on abortion so they have a future.

I grew up old school democrat. My grandfather told me the real reason democrats support abortions. I now believe tax payers money for abortions, is the most racist act this country has ever did.

Abortion bans are cruel no matter how you try to spin it. We're placing the rights of cells over the rights of a fully formed human being. We're making a potential human more important than an actual human. We live in a society where we can't force anyone to donate an organ to save anyone else's life, so how can we force women to donate their bodies to a government science project?

As proposed the amendment doesn't place any restrictions and I will not support a blank check. I am more than willing to compromise but I will not support any law that allows for abortion to take place after the first term unless there is a severe health risk. There are a lot of people with the exact same view as me and its really not that hard to get our support. Make an amendment with clear boundaries.

Can a woman abort after Fetal Viability even if there is no risk to her health or life?
