Exceptional message and delivery as per usual by Kevin!
ОтветитьAwesome Kevin. Keep getting the word out. I'm always blown away when I connect with a college/university that does not offer a class in career exploration.
ОтветитьLoved working with you trying to make a difference from within the system. Am so impressed by your new approach and work. Remember - we are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction. Your message is so insightful and powerful. Fight on!!
ОтветитьThank you, Kevin, for showing us multiple pathways to excellence.
ОтветитьEducators in all facets and subject matter areas of education are inevitably benefiting from your keen insights and well-crafted vision, Kevin.
Yet what’s best is that your presentation and focus on the ultimate learner outcomes helps elevate the dignity of educators because it enhances the end benefits of the well-aligned development of our students.
Thank you, Kevin, for highlighting the important factors necessary in making sure our students reap the benefits from their college education.
ОтветитьPowerful reminder to us all, especially educators. It's time to redefine the goal: Preparing student for success after college. One of the best ways to do so is to increase student opportunities for work based learning.
ОтветитьFantastic message! Its time to redefine the goal of education.
ОтветитьGreat talk!!
ОтветитьChanging the goal is a gamechanger.
The definition of learning is a changed behavior.
Instead of tracking the time we could focus on the behavior we want to facilitate.
You only progress if you have learned something.
That is why video games are so effective.
You don't get further until you get good enough to get pass the boss.
I value greatly the way Fleming advocates for a change in how we measure student success in collage in career trajectory. Life isn't about getting into things because it's "hard to get into." I love the mindset about taking a holistic career development journey and acquiring essential skills for paid and even unpaid work. Taking account of each learners' personality, passions, professions, and purpose is crucial.
ОтветитьI love this mindset and the idea of re-defining the goal. Accepted and appreciated. This was super beneficial for me and my 16 year old son.
ОтветитьExactly what I've been talking about! How we define student success makes all the difference. Well done, Kevin!!
ОтветитьWell done, Kevin! Keep sharing your message.
ОтветитьKevin - have you been able to get a meeting with the Community College Chancellor yet and share this information? I would love to sit in on that discussion!
ОтветитьListen to this guy. He will help you if you listen to him.
ОтветитьKevin has done a good job explaining how our education system tailored the masses to one end. Now, we are finding that end missed the mark. Both in skill development and financial burden. He was not afraid to explain how he was a victim of the system, yet had the vision to see how he could change his path by re-defining his goal. Now,. he puts it in layman's terms allowing others to challenge the status quo and allow the paradigm to shift to more logical outcomes. Well done, Kevin.
ОтветитьThis is inspiring thank you for your contributions to the narrative. You inspired me two decades ago, and you still are. Onward, Together!
ОтветитьWonderful talk, Kevin! Thank you for your insight in this and for your incredible work in this field!
ОтветитьBrilliantly and eloquently done, Dr. Fleming. Such a powerful, inspiring and informative talk. Thank you for encouraging us to challenge the status quo and to shift our metrics and mindsets.
ОтветитьPeople just do what pays the bills, not what is right or well considered
ОтветитьBrilliant! Insightful as always.
ОтветитьSo great Kevin! Glad you're furthering this important message and work for students and with institutions. Keep going!
ОтветитьAmazing talk! We should really consider using a new metric to guide students holistically by their passions to maximize their potential for society as a whole.
ОтветитьStudents, parents and educators need to reconsider the current mindset that prescribes the exact same pathway for all students regardless of interest, intrinsic talents and aptitudes. This thinking does a real disservice to our students.
ОтветитьThis was a thought-provoking talk. Dr. Fleming presents his point of view so clearly and it is a great help to educators. His personal examples really helped the listener understand his ideas.
ОтветитьFluidly and succinctly put, Dr. Fleming! I’m excited to see how mindsets and metrics shift as you continue to inspire with your research-based perspective.
ОтветитьSo insightful
ОтветитьWell said! The higher ed payoff gap is real. Transparent digital skill records owned by students that are continually aggregated throughout a lifetime are the only way to go.
ОтветитьYes! So well said. This redefining of education is EXACTLY what we need.
