The reign of this tyrant came to an end with the bravery of Azru Jamshed, who, with the help of Shri Badat’s daughter Noor Bakht, devised a daring plan to overthrow him. Their courageous efforts led to Shri Badat’s defeat, which is still remembered and celebrated today.

The legacy of Shri Badat’s downfall lives on through the Taleno festival, a vibrant event celebrated every year in many parts of Gilgit-Baltistan on December 21, where people gather to commemorate his end and celebrate their freedom.
