I’m quite happy to notice the Sonic Frontiers Final Horizon’s exclusive Super Form may pay a little hommage to STC’s interpretation, regardless if it was intentional or not.

Because there's nothing to explore. Super Sonic is just Sonic with an energy drink. Admittedly, the way you phrased some of these old videos makes it sound a bit condescending to the games, as if the Fleetway comics are the modus operandi.

I was reading the UK comics back in the day, thou I stopped as the comic became more reprints than new stuff, clearly the company deciding to treat its readership with little regard, but I was hooked by the Metal Sonic & Super Sonic storylines, as I didn't know anything about the Archie comic, when I saw Sonic go Super in Sonic X, I thought we would get to see a out of control Sonic, but they didn't and then the series began adapting the Adventure video Games before wrapping up its first season and its second being completely original, yet playing it safe, I was very disapointed in the Boom series as it was rather lackuster with no plot and being confined to one area completely wasting its potential, the most resent TV series (Prime) is WAY better than Boom and one of the best uses of mutliverse!

It might be just because of the dub, but the original super saiyan appearance was kinda like this sonic. Goku wasnt evil, but he was certainly more serious and angry. He wouldnt shout at his son otherwise i dont think.
But any other super saiyan was never like this, so i am guessing the japanese didnt make Goku act weird the first time.

There was another's version of Super Sonic in STC. In an alternate Mobius, where Sonic is evil and the Robotnik figure for that world,the main Sonic pushes him so far that he stress out to become Super Sonic, which is nice and chill.

I adored Sonic the Comic. I'm glad to have found this video. I'm going to see if I can find a collection of the comics online to read again as an adult.

Because gathering all 7 matching emeralds and constant draining energy wasn't enough of a disadvantage? Fleetway Sonic can basically transform whenever he wants, it's just that NO ONE wants him to transform, and if the separated story is any indication, could stay active a LOT longer then the game one. The real Super Sonic needs a lot of requirements for it and a lot of setup to keep ahold of it. I'd say it evens out.

It's quite a shame just like Archie, Fleetway didn't utilize Hyper Sonic. I feel like there was potential with this version of Super. Maybe as a stronger form of his, or heck maybe it could have been used for Sonic to counter him.
