Getting quite addicted to these videos even though I haven't ridden a bike since the mid 60s!! Last one was a '59 Norton model 50 350cc single... I think I'd feel very much at home on this classic 350 - I even remember how to set tappets 😁! Too late in life to restart???
ОтветитьBeautiful and comfortable bike to ride on.
ОтветитьHmmm... Beautiful Longines Spirit too! Don't you get some trouble with mechanical watches on bike (vibration)?
ОтветитьSubbed from Chicago!! I ride a Spyder F-3S Can Am. Love it.
ОтветитьI might be covered in Snow Flakes, but I am not one. Thanks for putting a smile on my face! Actually we are more likely to be drowning in flood water in the east midlands, than being snowed on.
ОтветитьThanks for the vlog and all your knowledge about the 350
I have a question and am in the USA originally from South Wales UK and have been looking for a 500 Classic and have finally come across one a blue 500 Classic which looks mint with 2300 miles on it
My issue is price and value
It is a 2016 and since this bike has been discontinued and there are not many coming up for sale I’m at a loss as to what to offer
This particular bike is private sale and close to 4 k Firm US
I’ve been doing my nut trying to find comparisons with no success
I understand that there are loads of variables and to my eye it seems to look great sound great etc
I am 75 and downsizing to a more manageable bike and have been on two wheels on and off 60 years
Any input would be much appreciated
Regards from Florida
Your oil was so new and clean. Why did you drain it? 😢😢😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьYou should try a KTM duke 250. You won't buy another Enfield.
ОтветитьVery enjoyable and the mix of day and night was a good contrast 👍
ОтветитьHi Stuart, what are your thoughts on the 'tubed' tires? Do they get punctured often? Are they
not a safety hazard?
Great bike Stu
Can’t believe that parts take so long for the RE
Great place Eddy’s
Got my Gold Star ⭐️ from there 😊
If anyone can sort it out Eddys will 😊😊
Not a bad idea to buy a cheap 12v GPS speedo unit ....before buying one of these bikes.....
ОтветитьI've done most of my own servicing on my 650, the one time I took it to the dealer they let me stick around while they did it and showed me their tricks for doing it. Excellent bunch of gents and if there's ever anything that I can't do I'll be taking it to them.
ОтветитьGot 2000 on my classic.
No mecanical problems but does have slight condensation in the speedo, but it works fine and is only very minor .
I just wonder if the condensation is caused by the humidity in the factory where they are assembled and if their is a simple way of venting out the condensation.
Try a Norton Model 50...
ОтветитьI’m in Ohio and my Speedo just indicates 5 mph faster than actual.
ОтветитьWell, nobody knows but you if the speedo doesn’t work 😊. Just drive well.
ОтветитьDealer said service would cost £250. I think I'll study your video and get the pleasure of learning more about the bike. And save £250.
ОтветитьYou could have used a nav system or phone gps for speedo —more accurate anyway
Ответитьif you cant fix your own bike please dont ride one get a car.
Ответитьhere in Australia it took 5 months to fix gears on my interceptor
ОтветитьHi Stuart, I’m just about to take delivery of a brand new (24 plate)Classic 350, I’m aware the Royal Enfield have parted company with MotoGB and Enfield are taking control of their own Dealerships. I have spent a week calling dealers around the country with discounted classic 350’s. From what I gather your 3 year warranty will only be honoured if it it serviced by a Royal Enfield Dealer. It’s a simple bike to service and personally I think like you I am capable of servicing and maintaining the bike myself. ( using all the recommended components)I wish we could have some clarity on this from Enfield UK.
Ответитьi have a vespa gts 125 2022, i love it 12 hp enough for me but i want this bike besides it too just for the looks and feel. if its half the exicitment of vespa its still a win for me.
ОтветитьI am wanting to get a bike similar to this that has a retro look without breaking the bank and 350cc. I do not have a single clue about mechanics. Any recommendations for brands where you dont have to do as much maintenance?
ОтветитьStuart, just caught up with this video, sorry, but thoroughly enjoyed, thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video thanks. I'm still trying to decide between a 350 classic or BSA Gold Star 650 as a second bike, as I really want a single with that classic look and feel.
ОтветитьI can't seem to find a pudding bowl helmet and silk scarf. I try to keep an eye out for the 500 classic, they show up every few years. I am torn, to sell the sportster, which also offers a similar feeling, and get the copper green with copper highlights.
ОтветитьThat really was a fantastic ghost story before. No wonder you're getting callout.
ОтветитьA known fault with the speedo and yet the importers don't keep any in stock? Disgraceful.
Ответитьover 2 months service claim? that disqualify bike for me.
ОтветитьThis is a most disconcerting testimony to Royal Enfield's customer service, and logistics practices. I should have figured given the bikes price point. I know outsourcing production is a business norm in today's global economy, But i find it rather sad and disappointing. Because; Isn't Royal Enfield supposed to be a BRITISH Motorcycle company? The fact they have to source parts from India disappoints me. It's cool they can offer a bike at the price point that they do, but I think this makes a double edged sword. I'm personally not fond of having to rely on the fact, that to source replacement parts, Royal Enfield or I has to get them from the opposite side of the planet. Hell, you live in the UK for crying out loud. The center of the world for a UK resident and/or Company. and If a UK company cannot easily source parts for a UK citizen inside their own boarder, i shutter to think of what getting parts will be like for someone who doesn't live in either the UK or India.
ОтветитьThe dealership here just purchased a bunch of spare speedometer and has kept then for back up
ОтветитьExcellent review
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThere is something about your videos, Stuart. I just enjoy hearing from you, and seeing you ride about. Subscribed today. At 72, I am off of my motorcycles now, but still up on two wheels on a bicycle - it's not the same experience, but very close at times, very enjoyable still.
ОтветитьOnce again my friend you have summed up both Royal Enfield ownership and the true meaning of a motorcyclist as only you can , keep it simple and honest! I have just got my Meteor 350 up to the 1500 mile mark and changed to fully synthetic oil, and its changed so much through the running in process that I cannot remember how tight and hot it was in the beginning but bloody fits the bill for both its now an entirely different animal and I can’t help thinking that so many people have bought these bikes and sold them on again just because they don’t have the patience and need instant results, running the motor in properly has im sure been a big factor in how my bike rides but fully synthetic oil has been a revelation, as has the fuel x optimiser which a lot of people said is just snake oil but no its not and neither is the open air box but concerned with the motor running hot after i changed the filter cover i then put the optimiser on and the two together have made a massive difference , you can’t really use more air that the syst can deal with but now its got more air and more available fuel so its simply got bags more power at lower revs, and last is the 16 tooth front sprocket again a major improvement through the gears i think its geared for riding on Indian back roads because the bigger front sprocket if anything has quickened acceleration because first gear runs out just as it beginning to pick up its skirts n run but theres more useful urge there that i can now access with the extra tooth , keep up the good work fella and no i’m I don’t want to swap my precious 😂👍
ОтветитьI just had the first service done thinking they adjust the valve clearance but they now don't do that until 6000 miles so paid £209 for oil change and checks which I could oof done myself
ОтветитьHow many miles do you get after the last gas bar starts blinking and gas light comes on? Happened to me yesterday and mileage began counting up, I made it to gas station at 50 mi. still counting up.
ОтветитьMy other bike is a Kawasaki ZX1400. Ever since I bought the RE classic 350 reborn, I just don't ride it. It's under a blanket of dust now 😅
ОтветитьOnce again Uncle Stu, a superb honest assessment of this bike. Thank you! Excellent viewing.
ОтветитьGreat review .
ОтветитьI brought my new to me 2022 Classic 350 Red/Chrome home to Vermont from Connecticut on a trailer the other day. I stopped at a big Vermont welcome center to take a break. When I came back to my truck there were 4 guys standing around the trailer pondering the bike. They wanted to know if I had restored it and what kind of bike it was. Great start to my Royal Enfield journey. I educated them on the Royal Enfieild story. They were fasinated.
ОтветитьCan't wait for a spooky story. The last two were absolutely brilliant 👍
ОтветитьExcellent review, confirmed my decision to buy one or Bullet 350, will suit the style of riding I want to do nowadays and I'm happy getting the spanners out for maintenance and mods.
ОтветитьHi Stuart. What tyre pressures do you use as the manual differs from CEATs own recommendations which are much different? I have been told that the CEAT front of 22 psi cuts down on whitr lining etc by other owners.
ОтветитьMy classic is bronze metallic.
ОтветитьDon't no if you read comments a few months later.
Always watch your videos shortly after release.
This came on while I was doing the dishes.
On the subject of defective speedos.
It is relatively simple to fit a wireless bicycle speedo to any motorcycle. As long as it you program the actual wheel circumference in carefully, they are very accurate.
+ Could keep you on the road.
- Night illumination could be challenging.
my all time favorite indian manufactured Royal enfield classic 350 I would choose this bike on any other brand within 350cc to 500cc bikes
