I find it funny that you complain that ponies just walking into each others homes but you forget that these are business. Twilights home is a public library so people are gonna walk in without knocking because usually you don’t knock when going into a library. As it’s always open to the public. The same thing can be said about Rarity’s home. It is her home but it is also a business so obviously people are not gonna knock as usually you don’t do that when walking into a business.

This is the first time I’ve heard anyone say they prefer Non-Complete Clause over Fall Weather Friends and I completely disagree.

Fall Weather Friends works better exactly because it’s so early in the show, when the characters are at their least developed and most immature. And any result of AJ and RD’s constant bickering was only at the expense of each other. In Non Complete Clause, they actively put other people in danger, let alone kids.
And they don’t even come out of it actually learning anything. And it being so late into the show makes it more frustrating.

Rarity's song in Suited for Success is actually a parody/tribute/something of the song "Putting it Together" from the musical Sunday in the Park with George.

Well Derpy was almost not a thing, and that scene where they called her out was scrapped in reruns of the episode on TV. Since parents were upset that Hasbro dared to show a tv show for kids with ponies that had disabilities.

saying non compete clause is better than fall weather friends is a horrifically bad take - the point of fwf is that theyre both competitve ponies and the message of the episode was to not get carried away in friendly competition, you have to understand in season 1 the main 6 arent fully used to being around eachother and are still learning about eachother, and that means yes they still have flaws like them both being athletic and having egos which leads to competition and learning to work around that, so the set up in fwf makes sense and really flourishes their characters in a way that feels natural, non compete clause has them fighting over something that doesnt matter (teacher of the month) for no reason, endangering students and being completely reckless over something that doesnt align with their athletic competitiveness, they learn a lesson at the end of fwf but they literally end non compete clause with a shot of them still arguing and not learning anything. They shouldnt have even had to relearn the lesson anyways, i know the older writers are differrent from the newer writers towards the end of the show so they dont know every single aspect of their character development that took place but they feel extremely out of character in ncc

i really feel like they shouldve made the lesson of feeling pinkie keen "there are some things that just are the way they are and dont have an explanation, and thats ok. its ok to not have all the answers" which can still work as an analogy for religion, work as an answer to non-theistic questions like the meaning of life, or even just be an explanation to kids for why their parents dont always have an answer to the questions they ask

This is one of the only retrospective series ive seen that actually analyzes the content instead of just giving a recap of the episodes. Nice!
