My Sister and I worked in our local Co-op during the pandemic and we would regularly go out on our doorstep to clap and clang for the NHS but after a few weeks our neighbours would start clapping for us, it was a lovely feeling, though it did feel embarrassing.
ОтветитьHelloo
ОтветитьBrilliant , I love Charlie brooker .. he delivers truth and darkness but manages to make my head feel wobbly and light at the same time.
ОтветитьWhat’s Black Meer?
ОтветитьSounds like just a few months until you'll be saying you've been in the UK for a decade!!!
ОтветитьYour content genuinely brightens my day. Especially these comedy react videos. You come across as very authentic and funny. Its like I'm just waiting for you to laugh. Cheers.
ОтветитьCharlie Brooker's best work was in defunct magazine PC Zone
ОтветитьThe last wipe show he did was Antiviral Wipe, a special during the pandemic.
ОтветитьBlack Mirror is defiantly worth a watch. Al Campbell who played Barry Shitpeas in the Wipe shows directed an episode of Inside no.9 called "Merrily, merrily" which starred Diane Morgan, (Philomena Cunk)
ОтветитьTrump is right, he has so much money he can do what he wants with women because there will always be the gold digging wh*res as Bill Burr puts it. Just look at how many women are only Onlyfans, it's insane and these are the women that will do anything for money.
ОтветитьCovid - I work in the NHS, we were designated a "Tier One Service - must continue at all costs" . It was weird because the roads were deserted and quiet and we felt a bit uncomfortable when the Thursday clap started ... but .. understood why. I had places refuse to take my money for food or coffee and people paying for stuff - my village chip shop would shout over the queue "Your meal is ready Mr.NHS" and they'd wrap and serve it first ... then turn the till off so I couldn't pay. My village Indian & Chinese would deliver my regular order and run away so I couldn't pay. People would pay for us at coffee & cake shops It all got a bit embarrassing, but we understood why. Communities we worked in across the County of Kent were great for each other and appreciative of us. Despite all precautions, all my team eventually caught it at various times .. I lost 2 young, fit colleagues in the NHS to it and I now suffer "Long Covid" ... we had no choice .. people needed our service regardless, so it could be frightening .. but it is what we do and the most satisfying work I have ever done in my life of 66 years.
ОтветитьCrazy to me how politicians never pay for the crap they do, like the lock downs over a cold virus that only killed 80 year olds like every other cold virus. Yet I lost my job and my house and put into 300K of debt because I bought materials for a job that got pulled :/ Then I had two friends that committed suicide (seriously) and I wasn't allowed out of the country because I refused an experimental jab that no one needed because when you catch a virus and survive it, you're immune.... But apparently not, the science had changed to bull crap. Oh and my girlfriend broke up with me because I refused to go along with the crap :/ I'm still a bit bitter about all that and the useless sack of shite Boris Johnson.
ОтветитьI recommend "Dead Set". Also written by Brooker. It's a zombie apocalypse mini series where the apocalypse strikes during a Big Brother series, and is set mainly in the BB house.
ОтветитьBlack mirror is astoundingly great
ОтветитьI'll apologise in advance but I hate these vids where you randomly jump around, there's no consistency or point. I'll likely get crap for that but I don't give a flying F!
ОтветитьPhilomena Cunk started on Screenwipe.
JC on the last leg was when I realised the UK was f’d - clueless.
Worst day living in England - day after referendum - whir English running around the factory screaming ‘you’re going home’ at non EU brown workers.
‘What about me?’ I asked.
‘You’re okay, you’re Irish’
😳😐😐
Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
ОтветитьThe nurses I know all disliked the clapping. My ex was trying to get some sleep on her way to work and got woken up by people banging on their pots and pans
ОтветитьFrontline NHS ambulance service. Worked all through and attended quite a few very I’ll covid patients. I thought the clapping was embarrassing. I don’t (didn’t) consider myself to be a hero, just someone trying to do my job.
ОтветитьRe: Black Mirror. Yes, absolutely worth watching. Like everything, some episodes are stronger than others but overall, excellent show.
ОтветитьHottest Canadian I've seen in yrs!!!!🎉
ОтветитьMy alanna❤
ОтветитьYou really should watch the Back Mirror series - they are seriously good
ОтветитьLove 😂😂😂. The last 47 seconds, apart from you saying Hello?? I don’t have a clue about your talking about?????❤😂❤😂. Sorry!!!😮😢❤
ОтветитьChannel 5 - random channel. Yes. Yes they are.😄
ОтветитьThe prime minister and the pig episode cracked me up.
ОтветитьBlack meer?
ОтветитьIf you're a Charlie Brooker fan you really, really need to watch "Dead Set" it's amazing.
ОтветитьBilly Bush. Not Willy
ОтветитьWhy can't N American's say mirror
ОтветитьOk. So now I'm hoping for the successful Barry Shitpeas spin off to follow on from the great career of Philomena Cunk.
ОтветитьHe’s also the writer of Pretty much every Black Mirror episode.. He’s done many more great tv shows.
Ответитьcharlie brooker was funny until he turned into an insufferable lefty npc
ОтветитьWATCH BLACK MIRROR!! One of the best shows on TV
ОтветитьBlack Mirror S7 Ep 1 is one of the most upsetting things I've EVER watched... why?
because we are already tricked into the exact same types of marketing!
Black mirror is the best

Funny that you should say that Charlton, was as British a name as you could imagine, or words to that effect, because I was thinking, how American, in fact the only other person I can think of with that name was Charlton Heston, celebrated American actor, although I always thought that his acting was a bit wooden, also it didn't endear me to him much, when he was asked about possible reforms to the gun laws, he replied, "They'll have to pry my gun from my cold dead hand" I took it from that, that he was not in favour of said reforms, sorry to ramble on about something that was pretty much unrelated to your comment, I'm typing this at 2am and perhaps I should shut up and get some much needed sleep. 😂
ОтветитьLol, that Lineker comment at the start of the 2016 wipe hasn't aged well 😆
ОтветитьHe's married to Konnie❤
Had a crush on her for years Not watched Charlie Brooker for years a bit of a
Smug elite type for me
He's that funny
Puddle dodging is not
British humour
Garrison (Could I BE any more American?) Keillor wrote a wonderful essay about watching people jump over a puddle...
Funny and moving, in his inimitable style
A couple of Charlie Brooker recomendations that often get overlooked are his WILTY appearances, his rants from the 11 o clock show.
But especially Dead Set (a zombie film based in the big brother house and a precursor to black mirror)
His gameswipe show was great for us ole skool gaming nerds 🤓
ОтветитьDefinitely worth watching Black Mirror. As dark as it can be, it's also often very funny. I would also recommend his Zombie Big Brother miniseries Dead Set.
ОтветитьYou should check out his other series "How TV Ruined Your Life" as well.
ОтветитьI was living in Rochester during Covid, in one of the flats near the river, and the sound of pots and pans being clacked every Thursday was very annoying.
Especially as I’m a frontline worker that would rather just have a bit more courtesy with the people I work with.
