I’ll add to that what makes a gun more/less most fun to shoot. Is it accuracy, spotting impacts/flight, low recoil/stability, balance, etc? Essentially what makes it fun and which gun that you have shot is closest to perfect? I know…easy one 😂
ОтветитьI love your channel and vids! I’d love to hear or see a video on your favorite gun to shoot period. My guns span from pcp to .22lr to center fire and after shooting for some time I’m continually surprised how enjoyable the .22’s and pcp’s are and I know you have experienced the full spectrum.
ОтветитьDo one out of box with basically free upgrades bolt shims and smothering action are basically free upgrades
ОтветитьI have both of these in their stock form. My CZ457 LRP black is an amazing rifle. I also love my B14r. They both seem to like Norma Tac-22 and I have shot lots of .3” groups with each one. I think if it came right down to it I would choose the LRP but it’s so close. I’m very happy I have both of them as they are a ton of fun shooting my KYL . Currently my B14r has a vortex venom on it and my CZ has a vortex viper however I have a Arken EPL4 on its way for the CZ and I’m excited to set it up. For my skill level they are way and above so I say you can’t go wrong with either one!
ОтветитьAnother great review that is super help. Thank you for the content.
ОтветитьThanks for the advice
ОтветитьI use both but prefer the B14r by long shot as it doesn't give me no problems like CZ does constantly.
ОтветитьThe modern rifles are a bit too busy to my eye, but the performance cant be disputed. I just try to shoot my 97 year old Model 52 better and occasionall pickup a useful tip from guys like you. Thanks for your efforts.
ОтветитьThe answer is always CZ 457
ОтветитьI’m looking at buying my first rifle ever and I’m a bit jealous of you American guys because everything is so cheap in the US. So I think I’ve pinned it down either the Weihrauch HW 66P with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 for 844$ (on sale) or the CZ 457 Varmint with wooden stock for 844$!
I would love to buy a Bergara b14r but those are just crazy expensive around 1600$… any recommendations? I guess the Weihrauch isn’t that common in the US but it’s a top end German rifle.
I wish someone would compare out the box vs out the box
ОтветитьNice run on target d
ОтветитьI'd do both
ОтветитьI have a cz scout that shoots lights out and my cz 457 22 wmr is a beast. I use to be a Remington guy but I'm turning,
ОтветитьCZ
ОтветитьGreat video helped me out! Can I get one of those boxes? 😁😇
ОтветитьOne thing Bergara needs to do is make an effort to fix their B-14 .22lr mags.
Those plastic lips on top last maybe one year max. of normal use then you have to buy a new mag.
We have fixed the problem but Bergara won't listen.
Guess they make more money selling new mags every year to owners
How are you filming through the scope?
ОтветитьI have both , but lean to th b14r because im left handed , much easier to shoot with a left handed gun. But hands down love the cz457 bolt !!!!
ОтветитьWhich do you prefer and why (CZ 457 Varmint, Bergara B14R, Bergara BMR)? Which has the best finish on the barrel and action (I hate rust)? Are they equally accurate 50-100?
ОтветитьGREAT COMPARISON ON THESE GUNS ...!!!!! PLAYING CATCH UP ON YOUR VIDEOS...!!!!! GREAT SHOOTING ...!!!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR JULY 31 .? ? ? ALL THREE OF YOU IN A SHOULDER TO SHOULDER MATCH ... ! ! ! IT'S GOING TO COME DOWN TO YOU AND MIKE ..? ? ? ? { I'M EXCITED } DOUBLE G. HERE ...!!!!!
ОтветитьHey Josh I have seen all of your videos and I would like to see you shoot against socalplinst and no matter what the outcome you guys are the best shooters on utube are you all up for that?I am just a very competitive person but I sure would like to see that.
Beagleman
Hi. Question? Have you noticed higher velocities out of bergara vs cz? I find my eley match and tenex (all lots) shoot consistently higher than posted in n box. Example. A box that is listed at 1065 is printing 1135-1144. Trying to keep it under 1100 and it’s proven difficult. I was wondering what kind of velocities you getting out of the bergara with eley match and tenex. Thanks.
ОтветитьGreat video but disagreed with the “entry level” label.
ОтветитьHey Josh, greatly appreciate your work. I have a question that may have already been answered. I’m looking at getting back into shooting after many years. I want a .22 for 90% target shooting at the range, and 10% shooting squirrels. I’m torn between a CZ457 varmint and a 10/22 custom. What’s a good rifle set up for under $1200 total with scope?
ОтветитьThose rifles don't look budget yo mee. I'm drewling..
Awesome video, amazing builds
I always enjoy your video's. Once I recover from my recent burden of house repairs I am definitely saving up for a CZ 457. I really like shooting my 22's, but as of late I've been getting more and more into reloading and precision shooting with my Tikka T3X Tac A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor, but traveling to a range that's 800 - 1200 yards is not something I get to do so easily. I like the ease of ability to change barrels on the 457, I like the short throw of the bolt on my 22's, and I absolutely love the look and adjustability of the MDT chassis.
100-200 yard shooting is something I can do every weekend, so between the precision bug and access to short shooting range's this is something that is very do-able for me.
My ancient sears roebuck, tube fed, bolt action, shot out .22 still gets sub MOA at 100yd, at the gunshop it's worth around $100, having my grandfather give it to me as a prank after I asked if I could have "that .22" yet (wanted his manlicher ruger 10/22), PRICELESS! My kids will get it, then their kids, and hopefully their kids, and I'll hope the story of my smart ass grandpa passes down with it.
ОтветитьI find it interesting that you felt the need to upgrade the CZ barrel, and I wonder if you would have done the same with the Bergara. Did the CZ barrel not meet your accuracy standards?
ОтветитьU said something about there being a remedy to smooth out the action on the bergara. could you link me to that information? i just bought one and would like to fix it. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video Josh, I have shot both rifles, but CZ is the one that fits me best. Thanks for making these videos, helps to get the best out of my CZ 457.
ОтветитьCZ 457 the only wise choice.
ОтветитьGreat video!! Thanks for all your hard work! It's appreciated.. I had a question on that little Prajekt13 case, you said you can customize it, what's the max amount of boxes of ammo you could fit in there?
ОтветитьSo I’m looking to build my first precision .22lr and I want to use the 457. I know you said to start with the lower priced American model if I’m planning on changing everything. But I see a euro lux 457 that I can get even cheaper. Is there any difference in the two for what I’m going to do with them? I pretty much just want the receiver. Just discovered this channel I may be binge watching it for a few days. Thanks.
ОтветитьCZ all day long.
ОтветитьAwesome vid man!
ОтветитьHello
ОтветитьI'd like to see a side by side comparison pound for pound and see gow the reticle moves then
ОтветитьIn regards to aftermarket barrels for the b14r.....
I've heard a lot of chatter about the ibi, but it seems like nobody is posting groups to prove it's superiority to the factory barrell.
Plus by the time you grab a b14r barrelled action, and new barrel, you're in vudoo/rim x territory.
Only an crazy person would take a modded b14r over a vudoo/rim x lol
josh I love the bergara I know you're in love with the cZ but I love the bergara that muzzle brake you put on the bergara I don't like it at all excuse me greetings from Spain
ОтветитьI'd like to see head to head right out of the box without any up grades or changes. No tuner or suppressor, same optics and each gun shoot the ammo that it likes the best, just because one gun shoots a load better then the other still doesn't mean it's overall the more accurate rifle. 22s are the most picky firearms made when it comes to what load they may shoot the best.
ОтветитьI have a 24" CZ 457 in their factory chassis and it shoots sub MOA all day long.
ОтветитьThe bolt looks hard to pull down. It disturbs the gun alot more for sure.
ОтветитьLove your videos, thanks for all the information. On an unrelated note; what magnification on a scope do you need to see hits on paper at 100yrds? Would 25x be enough if the glass quality is good? I’m just starting out with this and seeing that there are some reasonably priced options for 25x
ОтветитьWhat do you think about the Tikka T1x?
ОтветитьGreat video but the music ruined it completely ☹️
ОтветитьI have cz had bugara traded it for Remington 541s and couldn't be happier
ОтветитьNow this vid is funny....... You did not shoot both guns like you shot the Savage a month or so ago. Like a 12-year-old kid shooting beer cans with a 1022. This vid better ammo and you shot slow. Must be Bergara and CZ added some meat to the stew that you serve up. I DO NOT OWN A SAVAGE FIREARM AND THERE ARE NONE IN MY HOUSE! The reason I say that on my post on the Savage you did some time ago you said I am hung up on a Savage. I do not own one. But the question is what do you own when you're doing these vids?
Finfire Annie and Rem 40 for me. Paid for and mine. Anytime you and me on the Green monster or a IR 50/50 target. But that will never happen your to busy serving up stew.
Dinner is served.
Excellent video Josh, I really like your comment about the differences between both rifles 👍
ОтветитьSpeaking of IBI, were you still planning to test the IBI on the CZ?
Ответить
