Driver causes multi-car accident on Ohio interstate

The red van was definitely at fault here. However, I would argue that it didn't directly cause the accident. The third vehicle was clearly not paying attention to the cars braking ahead and was likely following too closely to react in time and stop, unlike the first two cars behind the red van that reacted and stopped.

Sorry morons, but the law sides with the people being hit. He was stopped with lights and turn signals while still in his lane. Should he have run? No. But he didn't cause the crash; dumb, distracted driver did.

A lot of people pulled moves like that everyday. People dont know how to get to a safe place to bust a U-turn but think for themselves! Red van did not get a hit and run because they didn’t get hit . The people behind would be at fault for not paying attention. The van do that for insurance money but he didn’t get rear ended fast enuff so they took off. These people should not be on the road but a lot of old people pulled these move. Red van did a fake turn but really a road rage brake check.
