The ax has a Crack in it. It's broken hearted.

For some reason the longer handle is more appealing to me.

Am I the only person who finds the 'burnt handle' horrible? Much prefer a well stained wood.

This blade needs a heat treatment otherwise the welds will be brittle.

What's the method you used for applying the paint called? With the adhesive and stuff?

So what you're telling me is that this axe belonged to someone from the Kingdom Hearts franchise?

Seems crazy that the only thing holding the axe head on the handle is a little piece of wood glued and stuffed in between the handle to create a tensile force between the axe handle and the axe head. That is probably how it's always done, but for some reason it just doesn't seem like it would hold all that well over time with heavy use.

Engineering physics is always a little mind boggling though.

The direction you took with the heart wasn't what I expected, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the results :] I think the proportions of the axe itself are odd (not that it's your fault) so the end result almost feels like its out of a video game ^^ thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and share your work!!
