Capitalism and socialism are not completely different things, though this seems to be a favorite argument of the very wealthy. Capitalism has many socialist components, and socialism can contain many aspects of capitalism. They are not black and white, unless taken to the extreme. The trick is to find a happy medium.

I'm all about capitalism, there is no better system, but not to the extreme. Nothing wrong with a bit of a safety net. Not all socialism is communism. Healthcare for all is not anti capitalism. I think it's human.

You guys are having a false debate, it’s not one or the other it’s a mixed economy of capitalism and socialism, btw which already exists in America. People like AOC and Bernie only want to expand socialist programs for basic things like healthcare and education, some things are just off the table and I largely agree.

Anybody who studied economics 101 knows that the United States is a MIXED ECONOMY, both Capitalist and socialist, Social security, Medicare etc... are socialist programs that are much needed as well as capitalism.

Venezuela's problems have more to do with American pressure than it does with Socialism. The only industry I think they have socialized is there oil. This isn't an unusual practice as I think Saudi Arabia and other middle eastern countries do this too. Criminally illegal sanctions have devastated that country. They can't even get medical supplies because of the U.S - it's shameful.

Socialism - at least the way Bernie talks about it - isn't getting rid of private enterprise. Bernie is more of a social democrat that advocates worker protections and social programs for the working class, disadvantaged and poor of the country.

The left doesn't think like the greedy capitalists. We know what your objective is. Convince the American people (or even regular working people worldwide) that people that start businesses are the ones responsible for wealth creation, when in reality all wealth creation is a product of labor, which is an undesputable fact.

Capitalism needs a restrain; they don't care about the needs of people, all they want to do is control the market and make as much money as possible; this is the reason we have the minum wage standards; were not so, everybody would be making one dollar per hour. If every body gets paid goods wages, more people can become business owners, and established bussinesses get better sales when everybody have money. This is simple to understand, but if you get an old stupid guy who barely can speak, he is going to say that paying people minum wage is the best solution. Fox news is fake news to begin with. They belong to the class of idiots who want to control the world but are too stupid to achieve something like that.
