owning MP9, APC9,APC556PDW and APC9KSD, love MP9 more that others. APC9s are good-looking & well-made but essentially just another blowback smg
ОтветитьPffft 9mm?! 10mm or go home!!
Ответитьdouble position feed
ОтветитьThanks for making weapon design interesting and fashionable, Ian! B&T the GOAT!
ОтветитьAnyone that thinks the hydraulic buffer will not be dependable has no idea how many miles and how much abuse the hydraulic shocks on their cars and trucks take before they fail.
Ian goes on to state that the initial design was iterated on and improved, and once a standard is set after lots of testing, these very dependable parts can easily have a service regimen attached to them so that every XYZ number of rounds the part is replaced no matter its condition. This is the same way that even auto manufacturers have a recommended maintenance schedule on their parts, let alone how the military also sets required maintenance schedules on all the parts for their vehicles, including helicopters and airplanes which can’t just pull over to the side of the road if something fails.
In the mid to late 1990's, FN begain to market the FN P90 5.7X28MM PDW to several U.S. Federal Government Agencies.Among those agencies, was the DOD and in our case the U.S. Army Military Police Center and School. At the time, they were training civilian state, county and local agencies, other "Federal Agency" personnel and other branches of the military law enforcement elements, due to the wide range of training programs that they had. I attended the U.S. Protective Services Training Course. FN had provided 10 to 12 FN P90's and 100,000 rounds of ammunition for evaluation, training and student feedback. I, along with every other student in the course, got to fire 50 rounds through the FN P90. The weapons were there for shooting, until the weapons failed or the ammunition supply provided was exhausted. With the exception of selected units and federal agencies, the weapon was never adopted. We also fired very new MP-5K, with Choate Folding Stocks, very warn Mini IZI Closed Bold SMG's (State Department use at the time...) and M870 RIot Guns with Folding Stocks. The pistol in use, in the course at the time was the Sig P228-M11. The issue weapons within my command were H&K MP-5A3, that dated back to the early 1980's. The "Roller Locking Systems", begain to fail in mid 1990's. We had a mobile training team from command show up with such used and abused weapons, for our annual training and requalification. Upon disassebling the weapons after range use, we had several that had parts fail, as we took them apart to clean them. Command had also borrowed another agency's weapons and they had 6 brand new MP5N-K-PDWs, that had not been fired, yet. ( I know, I cleaned them!). They also showed up with Simunition Conversion Kits and We had the ammo for those for the MP-5 and Sig P228-M11 Weapons in our inventory, for our office. Saddy, the Commanding Officer of particular command, denied a hot range since the unit had no safety trained personnel for simunitions, and neither did the Mobile Training Team. It was a blue on blue training event and without proper safety personnel, no training was authorized. I ended my time with that office, the prior month prior to 911, and 20 days later 911 happened! I am supprised command, chose to go with another 9MM PDW, and not a suppressed .300 BLK SIG Micro Product, as did SF Command. The new civilian leadership still has the head up their A$$. Some things never change!
ОтветитьWhy aren’t hydraulic buffers used more? They’re used in machine guns like the M240, the APC 9 has it. Is it just cost? Are hydraulic buffers strong enough to not break too expensive? Hydraulic AR buffers have a sketchy history, possibly because in an AR the buffer moves with the bolt.
ОтветитьThat's a pretty trick piece of equipment 🤙🤙🤙
ОтветитьShould I trade my Kriss vector crb + 800 cash for an APC9 SBR with 4 b&t mags, an extra sbr stock, crimson trace red dot, a stream light flashlight with HI X switch and two foregrips
ОтветитьWish a straight blow back with a damper wasn’t 3,000.
ОтветитьCanada mentioned raaaaa
ОтветитьNext waiting B&T make 5.7 or hk ammo
ОтветитьDon't like the folding charging handles they may keep slipping out of your fingers rather just have straight out handle.
ОтветитьIm wondering what the mac-10 looking gun is on the display behind you in the right hand bottom corner.
ОтветитьI thought I liked B&T before, why am I a poor?! 😞
Ответитьlooks like ump45.
ОтветитьThe MP5 is in my opinion the peak 9mm SMG. But also expensive and I think all 9mm SMGs will be replaced by rifles or new calibers like 4.6 or 5.7.
In Europe most police forces get rifles to replace the MP5 after the 2015 Paris attacks.
A really cool and interesting design, an instant addition to the favorites list.
ОтветитьThis is cool!
ОтветитьPersonally, I really love my SPC9. B&t has always made classy stuff.
ОтветитьThun is such a beautiful place. Taking the boat across the lake to Interlaken is one of my favorite experiences I‘ve ever had. The Berner Oberland has my heart!
Ответитьthe Cobra are basically our elite police force, they handle all the most dangerous stuff
ОтветитьI own an APC9K Pro and I’ve shot the MP5. MP5 is softer shooting out of the box.
ОтветитьHow cool. Uses P99 mags so by extension that means PPQ M1 mags.* Only have more than of few of those hanging around for my 4” & 5” shooters. (*As well as Baby Desert Eagles but damn if I’ve found one to buy even if I wanted to.)
ОтветитьI was once lucky to be at the range one day and a guy was there with his full-auto MP5. We got along well immediately and he offered me up a magazine worth of fun. It was a great bit of fun but I could tell it could be a cantankerous piece of kit if it wanted to be like that. He tried out a mag of my reloads as well and was very happy with them. So much that he cleared me out of what I had with me of my bulk loads. 😊 At some point I want to try out a B&T. Dangerous proposition as that is how I became a CZ guy just because I got curious about their pistols after I had bought my 452 Ultra Lux.

ОтветитьThank you for the addition to my small catalogue of 9un knowledge that I cannot really use for anything.
ОтветитьMy APC9 is damn near perfect, especially when using the Glock mag lower. B&T mags are NOT drop durable. The extra cost base bumpers to compensate for their fragile nature just doesn't cut it.
ОтветитьSuper cool. Can't afford a $2500 gun though. Thankfully I can at least afford swiss surplus rifles so at least that's something.
ОтветитьHow many inches is barrel on the gun to the right with yellow color?
ОтветитьI can assure you that at this point in time the APC9 is no forgotten weapon 😉
ОтветитьHuh? The SCAR's extruded alu upper predates this by several years.
ОтветитьThat's a fantastically designed gun. I wonder how it compares to the MP5 to shoot?
Ответитьrifle caliber version of these sells for $3000 and above? makes me appreciate my JAKL even more
ОтветитьThanks B&T for showing some love for my favorite sidearm. Have carried a Walther P99 since like 2012
Ответить... extrusion
ОтветитьHow on Earth did they go from dual feed B&T mags to Glock? That's very much not just a new mag well.
ОтветитьB L O R P
ОтветитьI thought 9mm NATO spec was 124 grain? Not 115 grain?
ОтветитьNow i wanna hear a 1800 rpm APC-9 hehe
ОтветитьDo they come in gold?
ОтветитьThere's modular, and then there's B&T pick&mix modular.
ОтветитьFun fact: from what I have found the hydraulic buffer is literally a shock absorber (as in a car) renamed and repurposed for absorbing recoil. Therefore, it’s actually a highly proven and reliable mechanism. I’m now wondering why haven’t more people thought about this 😂
ОтветитьThank you Ian.
ОтветитьThe APC is definitely sweet but I do hope that Jesus was able to get his blessed hands on an APR as well.
ОтветитьHeh, hadn't heard of this one before but it seems like I'd really like it. :)
ОтветитьThese guns aren't that great. I'm sure the APC is better than the GHM, but both have problems. Getting parts is also a hassle.
