From what ive seen in person and through media, traveller culture is predicated on the most obvious patriarchal system ive seen in the uk. The men strip women of their education, autonomy, freedom, choice and ownership of their own bodies. The older women perpetuate this by grooming and sexualising their children to fit into this because they never knew any better. They raise their children this way because if they dont, they lose the only community they have.
Even the bridal focus is such a dark sinister system, creating a fantasy of glamour to hide the fact that a young girl from the day she is born is going to become a mans property to beat and rape to his delight. I couldnt give a damn about the supposed rights of a community like this. I would wholeheartedly contribute charity to a foundation for traveller women who wish to leave the community and obtain protection and an education. Not to mention the rampant racism and homophobia in the community.

I used to live in a flat that was in the centre of a big green area. We had travellers come and park up on the land several times over the years that I was there. Two lots were absolutely lovely not a problem at all didn’t leave a mess and I chatted happily with the other mum’s while my kids played with theirs. However the rest of the groups that stayed left behind so so so much mess that we as the people who lived there had to pay between us to have cleared up. One lot had a group of teenage lads who spray painted penises on a bunch of our cars and the side of the building. I honestly don’t care if travellers park up in public spaces as long as they leave the place like they found it. If they can do that then they can crack on and enjoy in my eyes.

How can some of these people, in good conscious, literally trespass onto peoples private property, set up several RV's, basically trash the land with bonfires, garbage, cans, bottles, diapers & raw sewage often destroying beautiful pastures parks & woodlands, yet get angry, offended & then scream "racism" when law enforcement is called to remove them? We get them staying every yr for a week or more in my home town. They are given a field, loads of toilets, a skip for rubbish, hay for the horses, vets. Yet they still defecate in bushes, where locals walk, leavjng toilet roll everywhere, they leave piles of bags, rubbish, nappies, and crap all over. Not to say about the stealing and fighting. They are thier own worst enemy. Respect others, you'll recieve it back.
They all have toilets in the caravans but due to a stupid rule would rather crap outside for others to clean up than be normal and use a toilet.

They wanted to go to school and have their own job but they could not most don’t but I did see one girl do it also they don’t believe in a divorce. They’re marrying them at 15 and 16 because 18 is old to them.
