In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using the Prisoner with a Treasure+ strategy! Prisoner is one of the best characters in the entire game, and one of the most favorites among the fans. Prisoner is the Dead Cells crossover addition to the game, and is designed to reflect the mechanics in that game. He has access to the most skills in the entire game, all reflecting certain weapons from the game. The main mechanic behind Prisoner is as he deals damage he gains cells, and these cells increase his stats in different ways. The more cells you get the more stacks of stats you get, and when you swap out you lose these stats. This makes Prisoner a very solo oriented skull, but in the past I've still tried to maintain my swap heavy playstyle while playing Prisoner. However, the last time I played him I realized this was foolish, and decided moving forward I'd play him the way he's meant to be, and that's what I'll be doing today! The other main Prisoner mechanic is based around finding chests in rooms, and these chests contain cells and new skills, which is how Prisoner "swaps weapons" like he would in Dead Cells. These chests can also sometimes be cursed, and these cursed chests give you insane amounts of stats, but also make you take increased damage, so very much risk vs. reward, and most Prisoner players open as many of these as they can find on a run. The build itself is centered around simply getting my stats as high as possible, which I'll be attempting with a Treasure+ strategy. So, that's the idea, solo Prisoner with a stats as high as possible focus! Can I redeem my Prisoner gameplay, and finally get a win with this character after a series of losses?
