Very similar techniques. They attempt to hold the X/wind up position as they begin the turn with the left heel kicking low and around. The right leg does not turn with the left and instead maintains an externally rotated position. The knees are held apart in the same relative spacial relationship.

This causes a pivot out of the back similar to the way a basketball player can pivot his whole body together on one foot.

As they sit/squat to the left letting the hips come down and the knee rotate to the center of the ring the right foot swings wide and then around the leg leading with the interior of the thigh.

The right foot does not perturb during the drive/skip through the center. Rather the drive from the left and rotational sweep of the right create a unit pivot as the left foot comes down at the center.

The shoulders stay back and level landing with the implement 180° from the release point when the left foot touches.

The movement of the pelvis is not so much forward but rotary as the right foot now begins to rotate/work into the left leg. This creates the bow position and stretch reflex through the whole body like using the hips in an Olympic Press.

Once the body is facing the throwing direction the tension is released through the implement as the leg side stops and blocks hard.
