Will putting on the prong himself 😅First time someone really proves he wouldn't do anything to dogs that he couldn't handle himself.
ОтветитьWill, can you please do a video on playing tug of war with your dog? Good idea? Bad idea? If good, how can it be done without teaching your dog to fight for his toys with you?
ОтветитьSir, I have a question regarding my 7 month old rottweiler. When we go for a slow walk, he will also walk calmly, but when I start to jog he gets excited and sometimes puts his mouth on my leg with no force. What can I do to stop this behavior?
ОтветитьTrainers tried the prong collar on my dog and she laughed about it.... its a dachshund mix. She would rather choke herself to death than stop pulling. Slip lead. Same. Halti gets eaten... I dont know what to do. I am desperate.
ОтветитьAgain a great video - thank you very much for sharing! 😀
ОтветитьBut just as a reminder, in some central european countries (like Germany or Austria) the usage of prong collars are explicitly forbidden
ОтветитьHello, i have a very similiar problem,
but i know that my dog is not deaf. when he sees or hear another dogs it feels like im not even there.
he literally wont accept treats bringed up to his nose. i mean in these moments my dog looks more like a cat who want to do all by himself. and when we see dog and even holding him close to me and blocking with my leg, then he start to spin like beyblade, barking, and howling etc. some tips?
i tried running with him past dogs to make it as short as possible for both sides. but then he start catching the lead with his mouth and start to try dragging me back.
i would love any tips. thank ya´ll.
Brilliant video
ОтветитьSo well done, Sir! m out
Ответитьi do enjoy your vids mate but the demo of the collar around the neck and the little ''pops'' on the lead i think was an irresponsible move , you know kids can do stupid things sometimes and this comment is'nt meant as a personal attack on you but i hope you'll think about this kind of thing in the future.
ОтветитьGreat video but did you find out of the dobi had hearing issues?
ОтветитьI have a 6 year old Dober
Im a 5""'2 lady
I trained him as I would have my big horse
Abd also socialized him using beach
Puppy day care
He is really good off lead, recall
I trained him using a toy
I now use a prong collar only out but also have a front pull harness
And when he is say on beach 🏝️ i let him run with long waterproof lead like k9 use.
15'
Hes only scary aggressive at our gates or in my car
He has a little sister staffy mix
To play with really fun
I dont introduce him out in public just cuz he also has my daughters 38 , unfixed GSD who he definitely dominates but plays really well
Never heard the word " POP " used in a Dog training video before
ОтветитьThe idea that aggressive behavior can be magically fixed in one session is fantasy. Hyper aggressive dogs have deep seated issues. The ones that are really f**ked up in the head should be put down.
ОтветитьI was boarding a little Sheltie years ago. Turned out she was deaf. Poor little thing. Taught her sign language in the time I had her so it didn’t take so long to have her pee and poop in the mornings!! She was a wonderful dog!! And so much happier after we could communicate with each other.
ОтветитьBrilliant training in minutes❤
ОтветитьYou are not really honest, I believe. You don't consider the difference in weight when you pull that terrible thing around your neck. For instance, my dog is about 7, maybe 8 kg, and not trying to be rude, but you weigh maybe 20 times as much? So try that last pull, lvl 4, 5 again but this time twenty times so strong. I wanna bet you don't have appetite for talking anymore. Besides that, you anticipate the pull, would like to see if you take a drink and you will be pulled that hard. I like your videos, they give me another view, thnx.
ОтветитьYour a bad trainer and your hurting the dog using the prong collar.😡
ОтветитьHey Will, why did you decide on a prong collar if a vibrating one would have done the trick just as well?
ОтветитьThat's so impressive :o
Maybe you can explain to me why when we're in town with the leash, my dog has almost no engagement with me and is very reactive especially to dogs and children but when we are in nature, he's always checking in every 30sec and coming to me if I call (but not when he sees another dog)?
Also, what's brand of your prong collar? It looks efficient and very qualitative
My dog just bit a lady's shorts... I hope i can fix this
ОтветитьExcellent wish you were closer to us? My aggressive dog growling towards the other 2 dogs and my 3 cats! He attacked my pit bull 4x now and she is going to kill him because although she is not aggressive at all when he attacked her she almost killed him because she does not let go! Last night I had to put my hand in her jaw and I have serious cuts on my hand but she finally did let go😰 the worse is the other dog tried to get there in as well and injured him 😓HELP
ОтветитьTwo things 1. Well, I certainly wish I had come across this when we had our Dobie/mix, he was an older dog we rescued. I was able to get him to calm down when walking past neighbors dogs (he loved people, hated animals). But I think it was because he loved me so much that he mended his ways.
2. Currently training pit/mix puppy and she is hearing impaired. She's 5 months and trying to decide on proper collar for her, esp since she has skin allergies. She's very sweet. BTW, there are vibration collars for deaf dogs to get their long distance attention. In training, hand signals are a must, waving hand in front of the face for attention or tapping them somewhere, at least that's what's working for us.
Very nice to check the hearing. My sister is Deaf so she had to go through a much different type of communication course when she got her husky/german shepard mix. Since she can't hear if he barks and she can't speak words they rely heavily on leash communication and visual contact to ensure he is never distracted from her as well as hand signs to give commands.
ОтветитьYou are a good trainer! (Of people) and dogs ❤
ОтветитьThat was amazing
ОтветитьMate I could watch all your videos for even just wisdom for life😂😂 Leadership IS love! No doubt!❤
ОтветитьDeaf dogs can be great dogs once you figure out a communication system. My husband and I had two deaf dogs, a JRT and a longhaired mini-doxie. We used some ASL signs and some other gestures we adapted. They were great dogs! Kind of nice that you can sneak into the house with all your groceries, put them all away while the dogs are sleeping and not be detected. They never barked at someone knocking at the door or noises outside. Benefits of deaf dog ownership.
ОтветитьI'm so happy he's put it on himself as to prove his trust in the collar I wouldn't ever use a prong collar as I don't like the idea of it
But now I'm more understanding of the collar
That Dog is Deaf
ОтветитьI love your 'train the trainer' videos. Helps with troubleshooting.
ОтветитьI love your 'train the trainer' videos. Helps with troubleshooting.
ОтветитьHow can you do them little correction pulls if the lead is constantly tense
ОтветитьJust makes me emotional!! I love it! 😭😍 🥹👏
ОтветитьSorry for two comments… Besides, the wrong collar which I am getting for my pup GST, do I need a special leash also. I have a 6 foot nylon leash, and then I have a retractable leash.
ОтветитьThat is friggen amazing.
ОтветитьShock collar more effective
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьMy daughter’s German Shepherd will be put down if his nervous aggression is not 🎉 be put 😂down. He is sweet but so nervous & that causes him to bark nonstop & he cannot walk on a leash, as he pulls nonstop. He is afraid of everything 😢
We don’t want him to be put down. Help!!!
I thought my lab was deaf, she wouldn't respond to me saying anything as a baby.
then one day I made a loud noise while she was facing the other way and she jumped lol now she does respond to sound so she was defo ignoring me
Fantastic Job
ОтветитьI’ve got a bully dog and am just wondering how much would you charge cause my dogs showing signs he may bite maybe fearful aggression or dominance ❤can you help and how much mate
ОтветитьCute Lab
ОтветитьProng collars are a very effective tool. It's all relative to the hands controlling it. Trying to control a 70 plus pound dog, losing his mind trying to go after another dog, can either be stopped with a prong collar or you can get yanked off your feet and Injured, and the dog being able to get hold of the other dog. I'm using a prong collar now to help my stepson with his Husky/Malamute mix, who has become highly aggressive and reactive to seeing another dog. He wasn't Ike this when he lived with us a few years ago. I told my stepson, it is imperative to have him evaluated to find out what is going on. I can do all the training from basic, on/off leash, hand signals, agimity, protection. I'm not qualified to evaluate a dog that is behaving like he is now. I know it can be fixed, by a professional behavior modification trainers, but I don't have the knowledge or training to try and label the behavior. I just know, this is not the same dog who lived with me. Or breaks my heart to see him acting like he does.
ОтветитьLost me at prong collar. Appalling and cruel.
ОтветитьI have just adopted a 1 year old Xoloitzquintli. She’s showing aggressive tendencies towards other dogs that are passing by. Can i use a prong collar with a hairless dog?
ОтветитьFirst mistake is the harness.
ОтветитьI doubt it was even his timing. It was probably his confidence, technique and power. A slip lead isn't a good corrective device. It doesn't punish the dog at all.
