When I was young Stevie was the reason why I wanted to play the guitar. I was such a huge fan of his that when I saw this I failed to hear Jeff’s greatness. Rip to two legends! I hope they’re jamming on the other side

I have watched this and I don't know Jeff Beck compares srv and not being disrespectful Stevie's on a different level

Jeff Becks tone sounds like an elephant, and Stevie's tone sounds like God! RIP Legends

I love the way Jeff is all - "oh, ok - we're doing this, are we!? Ok, (switches to BLUES SEMI-SHRED MODE*).... SRV is always in *Blues semi-shred mode but Jeff had so many more settings...... Jazz*, *Jazz Fusion*, *Funk*, *Blues*, *Rock and about a thousand more. Not taking anything away from SRV - these two are in my top 5 all time faves.

No disrespect to SRV. But Jeff Beck went why beyond the spectrum. The entire range of wavelengths of where kick ass guitar was meant to go! Not on this 1-4-5 rendition with SRV. Check out Come Dancing and then you'll know what Beck was capable of.

I saw them on that tour in Oakland Ca that year.Excellent show!!!!!!

My dad had the honor and privilege of getting to see them live at the Cleveland Public Auditorium, only 3 weeks or so before the Alpine Valley show. He was there to witness these two axe murderers before they went to join the Great Gig in the Sky.

I am so old I was the Blow by Blow tour in Pittsburgh. One other guitarist to keep in mind beside these 2. Roy Buchanan

As soon as I heard SRV I knew he was headed for the stratosphere. Beck took a few years but he found his sound on Blow by Blow

jaja oh my god thisi so legendary, even the camera man knew "shit I need to record this" it's like two god's meeting. I can just see Jimi Hendrix being in the middle of them, god R.I.P. Both of them tranceded guitar.
Also its crazy how u can tell Jeff Beck became 10x in his later years since this perfomance. He truly was devoted.

I was totally unaware of this song till I heard it on WYEP-FM here in Pittsburgh. They play blues from 6 till midnight every Saturday night. I'm glad it found me. The magic of radio.

I’m glad to see others here listening, on this day of Jeff’s passing! I’ve never seen/heard this before today! They both are enjoying their jam together here…let’s hope they’ve found each other again today…this is awesome!!!
