Damn I’m always late to hype now I gotta spend hundreds
ОтветитьDisturbingly misrepresenting
ОтветитьJust because ppl use the word archieve on their Instagram pages, does not make the displayed clothes archieve pieces. Using the word loosely and wrongly, does not change what this term actually stands for. Just keep deflating things

ОтветитьBrothers, I correctly understood that a new rethinking of the archive means the emergence of new brands. who do things without historical (time value). production in 2024 but with the aesthetics of that era? or did I misunderstand?

Ответить"problem with something that shouldn't be problematic at all" it's capitalism isn't it.
Ответитьhow do yall find out about this stuff? i feel like i know so little about fashion and it really intrigues me
ОтветитьIdk why you made the “golden age” sound like the golden age of berserk idk why, looking back it really did feel like that, that transition when supreme and palace and all that got so big that people started wearing it everywhere so transition by selling Bogos and North Face collabs and Yeezys and then this world opening up to you yh it really felt like some Aladdin shit “ whole new world” yh it was crazy time, but tbf now that im older and can afford anything like it honestly has become more about utility and if it feels good on you and reflects you rather than “ archive” I honestly don’t give a fuck I’ll wear my clothes out till they go kingdom come
ОтветитьLike twelve years ago I was collecting Rick, Raf, Yohji, SLP, etc. Sold my whole collection and I’m glad I did before you kids showed up a decade late to ruin it, like you do with everything I like. I can basically tell you guys what you’ll be into in ten years

ОтветитьI tried to buy the Poltergheist Parka when I got out of High School, right before Grailed had it's big boom, but I didn't because I got in an accident and stayed bedridden for months and just forgot to bid. A couple months after that it fuckin sold for like 15k... fun times. I think until 2016, it was still possible to get a deal on grails but sadly the ship has sailed.
Ответитьoutro is so crZY

ОтветитьI mean, as long as it looks alright enough and smells alright, I honsetly couldn't care what other people wears
ОтветитьOkay, so I'm in the information sciences field (libraries & archives), a fashion history nerd, and I've been trying to learn more about more modern fashion and fashion subcultures/movements/etc. So as you can imagine, this video ticks a lot of boxes for me. I think it's really cool how many people have not only archived valuable pieces of fashion history, but have created these lovely communities around this act of preservation. (Obviously, many of the clothes are still worn occasionally, but that was what they were made for. I'm not trying to imply that I think these pieces are— or should be— permanently nestled between sheets of acid-free tissue paper in a storage room.)
Overall, great video!
ahh, i see now
ОтветитьSo i have custom aliexpress anime shirts, jackets, shoes and bags i designed myself and told people to print out. When i die, do you want my clothes. I promise not to wash it. Im a woman so it will smell nice and flowery.

ОтветитьThey're obsessed nerds, otakus who can't let go of the past, and grifters want to take all their money.
ОтветитьThis happens in every market and will happen again in this market. This is what happens in capitalism.
ОтветитьOdeio quando eu descubro um negócio daora muito tempo depois de sua ascensão.

ОтветитьGo newgen 🥳
ОтветитьI started getting into fashion around 2016 but never got into archive just because of the cost, and now in this video you're saying some of it used to be cheap back in the day which is driving a stake through my heart rn. I do like to dress like a anime character whenever possible so do you think its still possible to get into archive today or do I need to be a gazillionaire for it? and what are some resources to explore archive fashion overall? a reply would be nice
