I've felt like the Natural History Museum was too compact. Something with that collection wouldn't have been about the size of a house.
ОтветитьLove this modular, the GWP is also very nice. I'm not in the modular collecting, using all the space I got for a castle lay out XD.
I've not heard about the GWP being a problem like you describe? What is going on there? Also website worked just fine when I ordered the Endurance. Maybe there is a difference between the national versions of the website?
I do am of the opinion that GWP should come to the store as regular sets after a period.
Hola parece ser un buen modular, los colores son muy armoniosos y el estilo arquitectónico es precioso. Gracias por la noticia y sobre todo que esté doblado en Español.
ОтветитьReminiscent of the Detective Office
ОтветитьWhy do the renders look so fake? Usually they look extremely photorealistic. Wonder if they're placeholders...
ОтветитьGreat that you’ll buy and review it. Thanks so much Jang!
ОтветитьHave Lego not made the GWP for modulars redundant now by making all the modulars exclusive to Lego stores? I used to wait for the modulars to get a price reduction in non-Lego stores before buying, and so they did the GWP to incentivise you to buy it from Lego for full RRP, but now they are exclusive anyway they don't even have to dangle that carrot.
ОтветитьIt's a pretty cool building, nice looking too, anyone collecting these modular sets over the years must now have a big city block at this point!
ОтветитьI will never understand why they use green base plates for Modular Buildings. I find it super off-putting, non-thematic and not at all immersive...
Ответитьi think we're entering a new era of modular's with this one!!!
ОтветитьI love how potentially Lego’s first foray into British architecture (which isn’t a castle, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace or Big Ben/ Elizabeth Tower) is a full on classic British Pub.
Ответитьi like the very english vibe this gives off, though it's suburban feel makes me wish for some mid priced modular designs, parks, telephone boxes, cars, houses, smaller shops
ОтветитьJudging just by the photos, and video, this one is an instant classic. Such dense details, but still space to pose minifigs. I can't wait for this one to come out! And agree 100% with the GWP program - buy set X the moment it comes out and get set Y for free "while supplies last". The last 3 were all tied to the set X - and that causes people to visit Lego's horrific and mismanaged website at some late hour in hopes to snag the set. It's sad. This GWP and the botanical gardens GWP both seem awesome and a pure miss for someone who likes both of the big sets and can't get the small GWP that goes well with them. The lifeboat and Cerebro, for me, were easy passes as I didn't like those GWP sets, but I am sure many people do/did, and had to fight with the website and buy the big set to get a chance to "win" the GWP. It should not be like that, and TLG should know better and do better.
ОтветитьCompletely subjective opinion: Last time I was so excited about a modular building was the Parisian Restaurant.
ОтветитьFrom the moment I saw the leaked pictures of this I thought “that looks like a few funwhole sets I’ve seen that can’t actually be it” well, I am glad I was wrong and that companies like funwhole have pushed Lego to step up. Now they just need to fix their damn prices. Especially after seeing those HORRENDOUS 2025 Star Wars set prices
ОтветитьWow, they absolutely nailed this! It's gorgeous. I have just started looking at Funwhole and actually received the Book Cafe, and it looks awesome, but if I get another modular, it may have to be this thing! I have always thought modulars were awesome, but the aesthetics of this one are really exceptional.
ОтветитьWE need a car dealership or a hospital
ОтветитьTotally agree with Jang's opinion about the direction Lego has gone with gifts with purchase. Also, the thresholds to get them have kept rising to ridiculous levels. Nowadays I'm rarely enticed to buy something just to get the GWP, instead I'm now relying on my local Lego Exhibition (Bricks in the Six held now anually in Toronto) where I've been able to buy some at decent prices.
ОтветитьOh this is fantastic and I need. I have always wanted a tudor home. Didn't work out but now it will. !yes
ОтветитьOne of the best looking modular buildings in ages! I'll almost certainly get this one.
ОтветитьWow… I’m amazed by how gorgeous it looks… okay I definitely will be buying this one.
ОтветитьThis set seriously reminds me of a cafe corner & Parisian restaurant vibe! Definitely brings back a 2000s Lego feel!!! I love it.
ОтветитьMy only complaint is the handcuff chains on the front corner. They don't look great attached like that.
That's a bit nit-picky though. It looks excellent.
I also like the gold party hat in the GWP
This new modular is very nice, but I really wish Lego could bring other stuff to their modular series that goes beyond what they usually release. I mean, we get cafes and restaurants all the time. I wish they could bring some supermarkets, some places selling fruits and vegetables, things like that. Perhaps even a shopping mall or something. Their modular series also misses other kind of things like squares, plazas, parks and so forth. All those things complement well a city, they're part of city life.
Not to mention they also don't have a road system that fits their buildings theme. They have their new roads for regular city stuff, but so far, for old base modulars they're still lacking it. The regular city roads don't actually fit the modular bases unless you modify it. As far as I understand, those constructions are based on New England America, cities like NY and Boston in the 50s, 60s perhaps, isn’t it? Most like it would be necessary a stone cobble street sort of thing to match the context.
Would only really fit in a Tudor neighborhood.
ОтветитьI wonder wheter those plates in between the cheesewedges are loose or not.
ОтветитьIt klooks great. Best modular since the French Restaurant in mu humble opinion 5bookstore was great too tho). I don't really mind about the plain side since it is the "connection" side with other buildings.
ОтветитьIt looks like someone clicked ,,random,, on the character build screen.
The white section just doesnt belong here.
Another really good modular.
ОтветитьI like it! Can't wait to see you build it.
ОтветитьI skipped on the last few but this one looks stellar! The Natural History Museum definitely needed to be taller to look good with other modulars. Thanks for the review!
ОтветитьI feel like I'm one of the very small minority of people who doesn't love this design. Mostly everyone is raving about it. But to me it's too cluttered. It's got nice details everywhere but there's too many jarring juxtapositions.
It would have been ideal IMHO without the haberdashery and the blue building, if it were a more consistent, large green pub and restaurant on the bottom, and one or two apartments/B&Bs on top. (I could honestly take or leave the clockmaker's studio; it's nice for what it is, but I don't necessarily want or need it.)
And why is the clock on the front of the building a completely different time than all the ones inside? lol
I dunno. Overall, I love what they were going for, but the end result is not appealing to me.
This modular is beautiful!
I love the tudor style
Definitely one of my new favorites
The hat store and clock shop are amazing, the pub is great
Nobody is talking about the 'balcony' that doesn't have a way to access it
With a hat store I was hoping for new hat molds, but it doesn’t seem like there will be any.
I wish it wasn’t a corner building, we need a 32×32 one building modular that fills most of the baseplate. Hopefully next year
I agree with what you said about the gwp
ОтветитьThis set looks exceptional. I don't love the scale beside other modulars, but that's only a placement problem for those lucky enough to have a city.
ОтветитьYeah, I wish the GWP would become available in like 6 months to a year for everyone.
ОтветитьThis is incredible but I'm slightly irked that almost all of the corner buildings' most visually appealing sides are on the same side.
ОтветитьI like the style, but it is kinda small, but I miss tiles on the ground floor. and there is the price. a modular cost €150 once and it is now €230 and more, and so it is too expensive as I don't want to save and build one per year. I need to buy 10 per year so I resort do clones.
ОтветитьUgh did it have to have a pub in it
ОтветитьHey I'm a crazy or has the release date been changed to January 4th? AFAIK I'm a Lego Insider.
ОтветитьNo idea why but it just feels different from classic modular buildings, it just doesn’t feel like a modular building like before. I get it they are trying to add as many details as possible and I appreciate that.
ОтветитьI guess I am in the minority here, but I am disappointed. Not in the model itself, it is beautiful, but I was - again in the minority, i guess - very happy with the recent modulars. Especially the Jazz Club, which is my favorite. I don't see how this could fit beside any of them. OK, History Museum maybe, but it still looks out of place. Also dislike building a pub tbh for personal reasons, really not a fan of anything that glorifies British alcohol culture, as harmless as it might appear.
ОтветитьOf course, the “plain” walls are going to be hidden, as this CORNER building will be flanked by other modular buildings. Great LEGO set!
ОтветитьProbably my favorite yet. This looks so unique with so much character!
ОтветитьOn the one hand, it does look nice.
On the other hand: far too expensive. I will just steal some of the design ideas for MOCs.
If I had the money, I'd be buying these modular building sets. There are many that are very fun to look at with nice details. I think this one is one of the better ones too. I like the angled bottom floor and the stairs. Really helps it to stand out a little bit.
Ответитьfinally! A Pub in Lego City...
