James always talks about that real shit man thats why i respect him as an artist but not so much his music content. I prefer listening to Kendrick/TDE, chance the rapper, Kid Cudi, Jcole, Kanye etc with some other 90rappers but this dude is sooo consciously intelligent and underated then what folks portray him in being. People fail to realize that this dude is in a way a pure genius for coming out wit ONE SONG All Gold Everything to spark his career and making a million.

His music is ass, but he has the right attitude about it. He knows he needs to get better. As long as people are feeling it though then he's doing something right. Even if some of us dont like it.

Money, hoes and clothes.... Man, for a LONG time, I didn't give a shit about people telling me rap music is simple, and has the same shitty themes, over and over, because I'm such a big rap listener, it's my passion. But seriously, this nigga does not help the statistics... Come on man, be fucking original for once... Money, hoes and clothes?!? What the fuck, man... What's next, cars? Seriously, continually abusing these SHIT themes makes rap look bad, and not evolve as a genre! GET REAL!!!

He's doing what he wants to do. Where is your music? How are you helping it "evolve as a genre"? Don't talk shit because he's getting big on what he wants to do. There is no reason to hate when you haven't really done much.

I wasn't talking shit, I was talking sense. You're right, I don't make music. I'm not a music maker, I'm a music consumer. And as a consumer, I want this genre to evolve to the better. You don't think I'm right?!? Everyone I know and beyond looks down upon rap, because many songs have the same crap themes I've been talking about. What kind of story does those lyric say? Money, hoes, clothes. It's basic Homo SAPIENS level. Let's evolve. Get smart with our lyrics. Share a story with the world!!!

Yes, you are very right, I agree with you. I agree with the fact that many other genres have crap lyrics as well, but I don't agree when you say no one judges them as well. I think people DO judge them as well. I judged rap, because rap is my favorite genre, I listen mostly to rap, so I want it to evolve to the better. If I listened other genres as well, trust me, I would criticize those as well. Yeah, people tend to go towards rap, but I'm fair, I judge all equally, I don't discriminate!

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you! He definitely isn't a great representation of the rap community but what I'm saying is the reason why people like him is because of that carefree attitude. This generation of kids didn't have such a great era of rap to listen to. I would know, I'm a part of them. Personally, I don't listen to this guy but I see why people do. I have to respect what he does because he's doing what he loves, even if what he loves is, for lack of a better word, bad music :/
