Amazing getting to know Courtney
ОтветитьIncredible person!
ОтветитьBoth of you need a damn comb Jesus Christ.
ОтветитьI love how he can’t comprehend that she doesn’t see the need for “scientific testing.” He keeps persisting, but he is missing the point. She is trying to tell him that she has learned SO much through trial and error and effort and strategy, and that so much of her success and potential is also something that she is continuously learning about herself. The fun of it all, if think for her, is the curiosity and the mystery of how our bodies work and what creates her success. Having a lab try to explain it would ruin it. And they would never be able to really explain it.
ОтветитьI watched other interviews with remarkable people who are literally genius in their field and the same thing happens just like with Courtney - interviewers try to find the secret that makes them special, only to find that these incredible geniuses have no secret besides this is literally who they are! This thing that they do is the direct result of who they are. They are simply better than everyone else. For example, see Magnus Carlsen's interviews (best chess player of the last couple decades and arguably best to ever play the game).
ОтветитьBeyond inspiring and she's a cutie face.
ОтветитьWhen you interview someone, aren't you supposed to let the other person talk more?
ОтветитьShe's the coolest.
ОтветитьWatching this in 2024 after Jasmin Paris became the first woman to finish Barkley. I’m rooting for Courtney to finish at some point.
ОтветитьI can't even imagine being as fit as she is 😂
ОтветитьShe definitely doesn’t overthink it. She focuses on the simple joys.
ОтветитьVery cool!
ОтветитьSo refreshing. Adding to one of my favourite humans
ОтветитьI would love to ask if every loop feels and looks totally different? and how do those differences play out with motivation. Great interview!
ОтветитьPain Cave, amazing insights into how she creates a 3D vision. Would love to see a similar interview with Lael Wilcox (ultra mountain bike rider)
Ответитьnothing against her, but it is annoying she is forcing that laugh every second, she is laughing at things that are not funny all the time, i can't listen to it
ОтветитьLOVE HER. Thanks for the great interview Rich. Listened to it for the second time.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite Quotes: Cannot Teach Must Be Born This Way!
ОтветитьI'm a Cyclist and my first Century Ride was El Tour De Tucson in Arizona. Endurance Sports allow you to go places in your mind that Normally we never will know unless you are making the Body Work at it's Maximum Ability 💪❤️🙏
ОтветитьGreat questions and best interview! Truly enjoyed this podcast the most! You’re both inspirational! Thank you.
ОтветитьI’m about half way in and I’m a huge fan of the podcast. I’m a new sub and I’m hooked. Thank you for interviewing such amazing people. I realize the work behind the production. It’s great! I almost skipped over this but I’m so happy I didn’t. Courtney is amazing. She’s so great to listen to. Her laughter is contagious and the sheer DRIVE! Absolutely amazing! I’m an armature “runner” in my mind. Lol! I’d have to venture into the mindset. I personally don’t believe she should ever have any testing done until never. Running is a skill but this long distance stuff is 100% a mind game. She has what it takes to conquer. As a female and basic understanding of biology/exercise science, it doesn’t surprise me that you guys are talking about how great SHE is! 🎉❤😊
ОтветитьShe is the best...period!
Ответитьa compass for life ... epic
ОтветитьShe is the Michael Jordan, Valentino Rossi, Michael Phelps,Fedor Emelianenko, Sugar Ray Robinson she is just the best has a big talent and his mind when she is exhausted can find solution.❤
Ответить“You’re young, there’s more to learn”. Bruh, she’s the best. It doesn’t matter.
ОтветитьI’m 41 years old. Just started trying to run regularly to get fit for my kids. Running has never come easy for me. The longest I choked out was 5 miles years ago. I’m lucky if I can do 1 mile nonstop right now.
ОтветитьWhat I have learned is that she never judge anything, anyone and she never takes things too seriously. What a role model.
ОтветитьListening to this in 2023, shes proven herself yet again as the GOAT. 🙌
ОтветитьIt’s the old adage, “if you fail to plan, you succeed” 😂
ОтветитьDo ultrarunners study the methods of marathon monks? They do double marathons for 100 days consecutively.
ОтветитьAwesome interview Rich. Courtney is just the best. I love her approach!
ОтветитьAloha Rich! You need to talk Courtney into an ocean/open water swim!
ОтветитьRich: we should test your brain in a lab!
Courtney: What if they only find air?!
She’s funny 😄
ОтветитьCourtney is not a human.. she is a super human or perhaps she is an alien and makes fun of us humans in this podcast. It's totally a game changer how she conceptualised everything. If three words can sum it up, it's just like a famous catch phrase from that giant shoe maker... "Just Do It"
ОтветитьThe difference between someone like
Goggins vs someone like Courtney should be at the very least anecdotal evidence that mindset IS the key but it doesn’t matter what equation you use to get there, only that you do. ♥️
And today she entered History of Ultratrail 🫶🏻🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️
ОтветитьSerious amount of free radial damage on her
Ответить"They won't know" haha, she's hillarious
ОтветитьI can’t stop smiling while hearing this! I admire you so much Courtney!!
Ответить"pain cave" Love it. Very motivating. Watching this again tonight before my long run. Ty
ОтветитьShe is truly my favorite athlete!!!
ОтветитьIt's not that women are more mentally tough it comes down to body fat while being fit. Bc fat is the most efficient energy source. And bc a fit woman will have twice the bodyfat % of a fit male at extreme endurance events they have a biological advantage.
ОтветитьSees herself as a problem solver. The rest of us see her as the goddess of running and an amazing human being. Terrific interview!
ОтветитьShe may not know it, but she's a prime example of someone embracing and living the tao. I'm left speechless.
ОтветитьI've never heard a male on here have their unique accomplishments deduced to a lame biological explanation like "perhaps there's some evolutionary advantage that females developed as the child rearers that they carry with them a deeper reservoir of psychological endurance and capacity." Really? Then why don't women as a group systematically rank above men in these ultra marathons? Pretty disappointing commentary.
ОтветитьYeah BUT has she finished the Barkley 😮 😉
ОтветитьShe isnt human. Scientists should get her genetic makeup. She is so humble. And so awesome
