After attending a TLM I was struck by the reverence for Christ's sacrifice. The NO mass seems like a carnival mass to me now.

Bishop Martin's recent plan for the TLM communities and his possible leaked proposals for the Novus Ordo are nothing short of asinine. I hope the case is that he is so severely malformed in the Faith that it renders him incapable of having a rational thought - as the alternative is not good - which is that he has lost his mind and perhaps his soul.

Rule by emotion is just a symptom. Emotion has simply filled the void left by a lack of faith, and without faith, man can not reason. Even in ancient times mankind had a general fear, respect and understanding there is a higher power - God. Now the vast majority believe in nothing but themselves, and think that is utopia. But they fail to see the void of hopeless emptiness that is their fictional foundation, so emotion takes over in a desperate attempt to give value and authority to that void, which Satan is more than happy to fill for them. Folks, it is only going to get worse. Demons are roaming the Earth. Most people, even Catholics, have a veil of deception covering their eyes to what is really happening. It is going to become nearly impossible to find the true Catholic faith in the coming years. Prepare, learn, memorize, preserve the traditional faith, and pray.

For the life of me I can't understand why Catholics don't simply boycott the Novus Ordo. As they should have done when it first promulgated. Where was I? I was a confused teenager disengaged from the faith so lovingly inculcated in me by the holy Sisters of Mount Carmel in Kenora, Ontario. I guess I did effectively boycott the new Mass.

The most significant change in the Novus Ordo is allowing the non-ordained to do what the ordained were ordained to do, namely, reading Scripture, receiving Holy Communion in the hand, distributing Holy Communion, and bringing Holy Communion to the homebound or those in the hospitals, and in some cases delivering the homily. At first, these privileges were allowed to men only which will never be allowed in a culture that does not understand that God does not distribute His gifts equally. This necessitated saying that there is no liturgical significance to, "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." So, soon women were allowed to do what the ordained do, as well as girls becoming altar servers. If this significance is not recognized in the Mass it will not be recognized in any of the sacraments, most especially Marriage. The reason that Bishop Michael of Charlotte, NC cannot allow the Latin Mass to co-exist with the Novus Ordo is that the Latin Mass does not coincide with the ecclesiology of the Novus Ordo. I think Bishop Michael is ignorant of Tradionalists and their refusal to give up the Latin Mass which many are attending now because their parents and grandparents have been attending the Latin Mass for over 60 years and will do so no matter how small the chapel is. Bishop Michael is from my Our Lady of the Angels Province of Friars Minor Conventual in the USA, as is Archbishop Gregory Hartmayer in Atlanta, GA and Bishop John Stowe in Lexington, KY.
