Perfectly adequate, indeed…
I'm in awe. This is splendid and so, so heartwarming ❤
ОтветитьIf you did a whole album about Coope Boyes and Simpson it would be amazing!
ОтветитьYou are such a delight to the ears and soul❤! Sing on, O, LJ’s, Sing On! Thrilled to be at the Majestic in Dallas with you! Again! You must come back!

ОтветитьSuch a beautiful song! I remember singing this back in high school and it brought some great choir memories. Thank you for singing this!
ОтветитьI would love to hear them cover "Lament for the Fisherman's Wife". They would do Silly Wizard proud.
Ответитьpowerful! great as always gentlemen
ОтветитьThis is incredible, I can't believe I've never heard/of this song before! This needs to be a community project. The people demand it!
ОтветитьCan’t wait to see you guys in November! 😊
ОтветитьDefinitely a song for our times. Loving JD's passion for this song.
ОтветитьI don't know itf you'd be up for it, but I'd love to hear something from "Mynediad am Dim", possibly Fflat Huw Puw? I think your voices would suit the harmonies exceptionally well.
ОтветитьMoist
Ответитьthis brought an immediate smile to my face, thank you <3
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьThis kinda feels like an anthem of better times ahead
ОтветитьAndy, J.D., Robbie, thank you for these beautiful harmonies, and introducing me to new music. I wasn’t familiar with this song or that band. I’m still so sad I didn’t get to see you guys in concert 😢I had a ticket but wasn’t able to travel at that time. I hope you come to South Florida or to Boston again. ❤
ОтветитьAdequate as ever lads always love finding a new tune
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful song 😊 hope you make a community project of this!
ОтветитьThis is one of the most beautiful Song I've ever heard in my life. THANK YOU TLJ❤❤❤🎉
ОтветитьDo valhanna calling next
ОтветитьThank you guys for being an inspiration for us. We've loved your music for years and you were our introduction to sea shanties as a whole.
ОтветитьLoved it
ОтветитьThat was great guys!
Ответитьinteresting harmony from andy
ОтветитьIt's been niggling me for days that surely something was due, but YT didn't notify me of anything. This was well worth going searching for. Beautiful!
Ответитьthis should absolutely be the next community project where you add groups of people from different parts of the world join in at different parts, like have england start, then the south/north america joins in, etc.
ОтветитьWould love to hear you do something like King of Kings or Gods of War from ManOwar. Old, old band from the 70's or 80's. I remember my father being a heavy ManOwar fan, kept a CD holder of pretty much all their songs, went to one of their concerts, had an old Victrola that he played their music on at home.
I think it would be awesome to hear your rendition of a song like that to show it to him
a cover of 'Over the Hills' form sharpe, 'Cornwall My Home' from the fishermans friends or 'Skull and Bones' from home free would be amazing.
ОтветитьBeautiful and resonant! Would love a cover of The Fox, the Crow, and the Cookie by mewithoutYou sometime
ОтветитьI was brought onto your music with the blacksmith song, brought over from The Sweater Guy, Colm. And I am definitely a fan! Love this song!
ОтветитьI'd really love to see you guys do 'Valhalla Calling' from Miralce of Sound. :D
ОтветитьAmazing as always, beautiful as ever. I'm joining the chorus asking for a community project - and I'd join that chorus too!
ОтветитьAnyone else using this as their comfort song over the past couple days?
ОтветитьAbsolutely amazing!
ОтветитьI would love to hear you guys sing the American Civil War Song from 1862 - Rally Round the Flag (aka The Battle Cry of Freedom). Since it is a Union song, if you are worried about political repercussions, it is customary to here segue into the Confederate version of the song. I can't seem to find a satisfactory version of this inspirational song and I know the Longest Johns would nail it.
ОтветитьGUYS, please consider doing a cover of a Scottish folk song by the name, "Leis An Lurrighan". The best version for reference (so far?) is by 'Scatter The Mud.' The second half of their video is instrumental for some reason, but its the right song. Most versions of the song (including the Scatter the Mud version) are in English with just the title phrase being in Scottish Gaelic, but its a super cool song about a ship braving a terrible storm.
ОтветитьLove, Love Love it when Andy's bass comes through so beautifully! Great song, lads! keep it up!
ОтветитьWhat kind of lyric is that! No Messiah! Boo! I know that my Redeemer lives. I’m just a poor wayfaring stranger! Nice harmony though!
ОтветитьFreaking gorgeous!
ОтветитьCoope, Boyes & Simpson are amazing! So glad to hear this song being taken up by The Longest Johns. :D
ОтветитьGreat song!
ОтветитьHello The Longest Johns, ive been listening to you for a few years now and you are one of my favorite groups. I want to belive that you truly belive what you are preaching about unity and love but, I have a hard time beliving it. I have had to put up seeing people of "empathy" and "unity" call for the death of people like me, who are simply tired of the lies spread by those in charge, as well as the attacks against my sex and race. These people despite their clams have lead to a world where "cis white male" is used as a means to shut somone up. I apologize for dumping this on a public forum but this has been eating me up inside. I once again hope you continue to hold up your calls of love and peace and hope that God may bless all our lives.
ОтветитьI burst into tears the first time I heard this, and I'm welling up again now. Definitely needed it right now. Thank you, lads 💜
ОтветитьAwesome harmonies ❤
ОтветитьA follow-up note: Thanks for releasing the song as a track! Hooray! … I’ll confess to holding out hope for this (mostly) a cappella version, too, though, your vocal harmonies come through FAR more strongly here.
ОтветитьI'd love my choir to do this. We need this right now! x
ОтветитьThese are the Longest John’s that I love.
ОтветитьI think I needed to hear this one. I think a lot of people do. Lovely.
