Why can’t the automakers program a PIN on the ODB port? Disabling the ODB port until the correct PIN has been entered.

We even put a steering wheel lock but they have a grinder and got our RAM 1500 Sports, a truck my husband and the family loves. So humiliating and frustratingvto be a ble to experience this horrible ordeal we had.I never forget everyday everytime I drive it haunts me.Canada is not a safe place anymore, no more.

Keyless FOBs need to be connected with a 4-6 digit pin that needs to be entered before the car can be started. Similar to access to a bank ATM. If they add in this $50 physical keyboard, the thefts would end immediately.

Of course, the thieves may need to get more violent to get the PIN numbers from the owner.

I think the automakers WANT their vehicles stolen, so they make more money when a customer is forced to buy another NEW vehicle!!!

Maybe the key shouldn't be able to be made from anywhere except the actual car manufacturer? Instead of having it made inside a car. I cannot get my house key made like this, can I?

Stop buying cars with keyless ignition. A car that requires a physical key---not a fob---is much harder to steal.
