Ответитьwao its very cool idea for brackets
ОтветитьI am NOT a big fan of epoxy filling in wood. In my opinion sanding epoxy is a big no-no. It's because even when you use the respirator and vacuum to collect the epoxy dust is still in the air and you'll breath it later on. All the microscopic epoxy particles gets to the lungs. That in itself can cause allergy to epoxy and if this continues it can become problem causing down the line. My university professor (my minor was plastic) shared story about one of his former student that professionally built yacht. He used a lot of epoxy during the day and he eventually became allergic to it, and he had to close shop because of it. Why can't wood workers simply fill the cavity with epoxy far enough to bring the epoxy level to the reset of the wood's surface instead of over filling it so the surface needs to be sanded later on and call it good. I always enjoy your videos April.
ОтветитьAmazing...
ОтветитьVery good!
Ответитьwow, girl power,my first time see a beautiful wood carpenter ❤️
ОтветитьGreat video April, I also liked the cookies dispenser and hidden drawer. I want to check into Walrus Oil. Thank you
ОтветитьThanks April..you're the best. I have 2 large Black Walnut slabs that I decided to break down for smaller projects. Plenty 'o character defects. Your vid right on time as usual and got one heck of a deal on what is the first Epoxy (TotalBoat) I will have ever used. Got a spot for a shelf arrangement just like this. Love all your content.
ОтветитьCan you please add captions.

Ответитьdamn, I realized this is a thousand times more professional than what I'm going to be doing
ОтветитьCan I use the walrus oil on pine wood???
ОтветитьThat was so cool!
I have a bunch of apple, pear and plum stumps and odds and ends that I just couldn't figure out what to do with them. Now I know! 😉
That drill press is a must tool for me to get! I make furniture and things out of reclaimed wood. That tool is going help me tremendously!
Thank you so much for sharing your talents! 🙏
A heat gun will also get rid of bubbles
ОтветитьWHY is everyone obsessed with EPOXY
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьAwesome
Ответитьwhere can one source this kind of lumber?
ОтветитьAnyone else get a little excited when they search a project and see that April has done a video on it?
ОтветитьBench cookies. That's a new one. I like the idea. I've never seen those before. Handy. And I like the holder.
ОтветитьYou sure have a very creative mind and are very talented.
ОтветитьWhy didn't you put finish on the ends you cut with table saw? Did you forget?
ОтветитьSeems like you forgot to apply final finish after you cut it into pieces.
ОтветитьOk, the pipe/caster holder thingy is next on my list of things to build. THANK YOU.
ОтветитьI have access to so much drift wood it’s insane. Anyway, I will be doing these shelves. My sister bought a house in Cape May, NJ and these shelves are perfect for a shore house! Thanks
ОтветитьLove this! A bit late to the game but I love your little biscuit dispenser and the drill jig!
Well build and beautifully finished!
Check out the live edge slabs on my channel. I have 2 warehouses full available for sale at great prices
ОтветитьThanks April!
Ответитьvery happy to see natural elements displayed on the wall
ОтветитьEverything is super, but why You left ends with no finish?
ОтветитьLove your video! This is exactly the piece of the puzzle for was looking for on how to choose what sections of the slab I liked best for my floating shelves to put in my newly remodeled half bath…use all of it to make those uniquely shaped shelves. So my slab has a diagonal crack that is angled through the slab. Any advice on how to address that with epoxy? Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьI love the video! I want to do a narrow shelf in my newer (2015) Airstream travel trailer. The Airstream has a classic modern look (is this an oxymoron?). I want to give the interior a clean but outdoor look. I am thinking of a long skinny shelf up high above the front table. It would be about 5 feet long by 4-5 inches deep and maybe 1/2" to 3/4" thick. Where can I start looking to source some wood for this? I am open to the species of wood.
ОтветитьMay I ask how thick your slabs were?
ОтветитьNice making I don't even know how to make that good job nice
ОтветитьAND TRANSPORT TIPS????? wow you are so awesome definitely subbed!!❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьIntroduction to the new one is a good idea
ОтветитьThose look good. I am only just now starting to work with my live edge slabs that I sawed out about half a year ago. I am looking at videos for ideas on using some of my smaller pieces.
