This is great. I would love to see a long form video like this from start all the way through to bottling!
ОтветитьSomeone get this man a lab coat.
ОтветитьI misread this as 'how to make blueberry mad'
ОтветитьWhat were the results?
ОтветитьI love long videos I can actually follow along
ОтветитьI am starting to get into this and wondering how persimmons would do. They taste like fruity honey and i have a ton from my tree. What would ratios be for such squishy fruit?
ОтветитьAm I reading the recipe right? You wrote 2.5g of yeast but put in a whole 5g packet…
Ответитьwhere did you get the brew bag from?
ОтветитьThis mead was designed for me. I will be trying it
ОтветитьI'm sure a thousand years of other cultures ALL had their star San & air locks ready 😂😆. Ok I'm over it now❤
ОтветитьI've never blown a batch from "contamination" in almost 17years . I'm rele sick of this starsan bs it NEVER ENDS. & I've had some inevitably silly things happen & still never bother w this starsan
ОтветитьYou should really try this with wild european blueberries / bilberries. The flavour is more intense and they're quite a bit sweeter.
ОтветитьI once drank a sweet potato beer and it tasted like marshmallows it was delicious. What happens if you make mead with sweet potatoes?
ОтветитьSkittle mead.
ОтветитьHow do you filter out the yeast so that so that you don't get it inside your body and give you an infection?
ОтветитьLove the longer videos!!!
ОтветитьDo you think your recipe will be fine for 5 gallons if multiplied by 5 of ingredients?
I just picked up 2 18Liter glass carboys at a garage sale today. Gonna give it a shot this weekend. What a great video!
Can you ferment Sea Monkeys?
ОтветитьThanks for the videos. It’s inspired me to give it a try and will be picking up my first kit in a couple weeks 😊😊
ОтветитьI use GoFerm to start my yeast before pitching, but keep in mind that Fermaid-O and GoFerm are both basically dead yeast, just different forms (Fermaid-O is autolysated)
ОтветитьI recently made a blueberry mead that came out lovely. I used real blueberries that I blended. I will try pure juice next. I know some will say no but I want to see.
ОтветитьDoes this hurt the yeast?
ОтветитьCan you make a mead out of the ingredients for Chicha?!
Ответитьwell you try wild blueberry?
Ответитьwhat was it you put into the yeast? and do you need to put it in?
ОтветитьIt's inspiring to see how many different mead styles and techniques you explore. I’m about to make my first mead and would love to know your top 5 favourites, and if you have any tips for a beginner like me?
Thanks for all the great content!
I can't wait to see what to do next.
ОтветитьWas there any future updates?
Ответитьwhats your fav drink youve ever made
ОтветитьThe spray bottle of star san is a great idea, I am going to start using this.
ОтветитьWhat became of the results??
ОтветитьDo you find it ok to add fruit unsanitised in pre fermentation phase? Risks of wild yeasts? Do you ever add fruit during secondary fermentation? Edit: just saw there are 2 videos about it lol, nevermind
ОтветитьJust had a thought, "can I use maple syrup in a mead kit? Hmmmm I bet golden hive would know..." and I was right!
ОтветитьBought your kit and am brewing my first mead, basing off this video. I used 2 pounds honey 1 pound maple syrup and blueberry juice. Started smelling like alcohol after 2 days. Sadly, after about a week, I started getting the dreaded hydrogen sulfide smell, but I’ve heard this is not abnormal. Does this ever happen to you and do you think it’s reason for concern? Also can’t wait for part 2 I’m brewing this with you!
ОтветитьMaking homemade wine is also a good way to boost local economy
ОтветитьJust found your channel. Loving the video! :)
ОтветитьYou should use a mason jar funnel to fill your brew bag
ОтветитьIf I’m raking blueberries from a field do I need to clean them?
ОтветитьIm really happy I found this video, but I wish I had found it before I started my first batch
ОтветитьThank you. This is the video I needed
ОтветитьMake Ecto Cooler wine
ОтветитьHow long do you keep the berries in? Until fermentation is finished?
Ответитьgive this man likes
ОтветитьI dare you to make Durian mead…
ОтветитьJust a quick question, how would i go about clearing my mead? Its a standard honey mead using your glass mead making kit
ОтветитьSure, here's the translation of your text to English:
"If I understand correctly, you are using pasteurized honey? In my recipes, I mainly find that I should first heat the honey-water mixture to kill off any foreign yeasts. That would explain why you use pasteurized ingredients, right?"
As I have personally found out, making mead is quite messy 😂 a fermentation explosion didn’t happen, my husband just forgot what fluid dynamics are while mixing the honey and apple juice (with the paddle attached to a drill, because he’s impatient as hell) and so it just wound up halfway up a wall.
Ответитьwhat happens if you make mead from bread yeast?
ОтветитьWhat's up!
I have a question. How to calculate percentage of wine before making it (I know amounts of: sugar, fruit I wanna use (rhubarb or blueberrie in that case) and yeast).
Any chance you have seen pohutkawa honey from nz most places make it into a session mead put one place makes it with greengage plums to be added with other ingredients to make a sangria
