I honestly think that there's a correlation with Amad not playing and Ericksons return. In pre-season it worked better when mainoo, bruno and casimero riding challenges, allowing better play with Amad and Zirksee. Come EPL teams foul bruno and mainoo (especially off the ball) more making us struggle to hold the ball in midfield to front. Erickson doesn't struggle as much when teams are that physical. Erickson breaks the lines with good passes better as well. Bruno releases the ball too fast because it's 50/50 that the ref will give the foul when it's rough play. I don't think it's a easy fix but I understand Ten Hags plan.
