Blink Outdoor 4 Review - Is it Worth It?

Would any users of Blink Outdoor 4 camera in a blue birdbox report their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with focus, clarity, easy of installation, etc. Greatly appreciated.

I have a question, will this camera alert you if someone comes to your mailbox if your mailbox is st the behinning of your driveway?

I have these cameras. After 4 years they still work. (Surprising) I’m probably over $500 in batteries now.
They are like a relationship.
Not the most reliable.
Can’t read licence plates.
Can’t see faces at night.
Gets triggered by nothing.
After a clip if people are still there it doesn’t keep taking clips.
Batteries cost a leg and an arm.
Lotsa times it doesn’t record entry to the property.
Sensitivity needs to be adjusted daily.
Length of video is not controlled. One time it’s a long clip when nothing is there.. And when there is something it takes a short clip. Sometimes it tells me there is a clip. So I go and look and I gotta reset the app or renew the page so the clip can load.
I was in disbelief when I saw the settings features that don’t do shit! Blaw annoying!🥱
Fun if you like to play with your cameras everyday. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Thanks for going through the settings i was about to buy one but the fact it caps how long it records on motion detection is crazy, i dont get why they make it 10 seconds to a minute when any motion should be constantly recording and saving the footage.

Nothing about connecting to Alexa?

With the two way talk can you just listen to what others are saying before you respond?

I have a question. I recently started reading this house and it has the same cameras installed, but they’re not working obviously because they’re dead and nobody’s putting batteries into them. Is there anyway I can take them down and use them mine or are they gonna be locked to the person that was previously here?

how well is the person detection feature? I'm dealing with an issue and unfortunately blink 3 outdoor only has motion detection. so i get alot of cars vs alerts on people

Hello, this is a great review. It should also mention that Neither amazon or Blink will refund anything past the amazon 30 day return window. I'm stuck in a loop with Amazon and Blink since April 26 2024 almost 2 month in. we need someone with visibility like LifeHackster to bring this out and not keep consumer hostage. I bought the five pack of blink camera fours and have been very disappointed with their performance. I bought blink cameras a few years ago and they worked great but the new ones do not work well at all their sensitivity settings don’t work. The infrared option is not good at all and the person, identify camera options doesn’t work either very disappointed with these cameras

For the price, these Outdoor 4 cameras are junk. The biggest joke is, No timestamp! The only plus side is the max 60 day storage for the $10 per month unlimited subscription, which others like Wyze $10/month, unlimited 14 days, suck at. And you can use a powered solar panel.

Honestly I recommend wire cameras it’s more cabling but if you have it where need a ladder to reach it it’s hard because battery don’t last long maybe like two weeks for someone who want to record all the time or have pets or outside front door lots of activity battery drain fast and then you have to get to it again

We had the Samsung smart cam SNH-V6410-PN, for 10 years and absolutely loved it. It was excellent and we never had a monthly subscription. Then this year the camera app was no longer supported so we bought the blink outdoor (2) camera system; this is a piece of junk. I need something comparable to my Samsung smart cam.

JUNK JUNK JUNK!!!!!!!!!! JUST tossed mine in the garbage! The BIGGEST PITA after swapping out a router! Wouldn't re connect.... ALWAYS is an issue IF the power glitches, internet drops, ANYTHING!

A really good piece of info here is whether it’s always recording or just for a short time after detecting motion. I’m guessing the latter is true, but I’m not 100% sure.

How about the wifi range, is it better than the others or the same
