Do I need a wifi router if my Xfinity cable modem has built-im WiFi? I only have 2 users on my network (pc & TV) and only experience issues during total oitages. I can't see where purchasing another router would be beneficial except maybe to extend range. Any thoughts in that situation? Thanks.. Enjoy your videos.

Thanks for sharing all your tips! Lots of useful information. One tip I'd like to add, regarding rebooting. I logged into my router and found a scheduler. I set it up to reboot daily, at 2 AM, when we're not needing it. The scheduler allows an "off" time and an "on" time. So, it's an automatic reboot. This keeps it functioning well. Thanks again! Help where do I get ethernet

I have one question. I have a mifi hotspot, the only thing available where I live. I bought a “smart WiFi router” to help our internet stream better. My hotspot only has a spot for the charger and the SIM card. I plugged the usb charger into the router. Is this going to work since I do not have an Ethernet cable to plug into the back of the router? Thanks so much.

I have a question regarding my cell phone I am in my home using my Wi-Fi (service through Xfinity). I just clicked on the network speed; could you please clarify what this means and why it is changing, it went from 263Mbps to 292Mbps.

The text printed on my cable to the Dual-Band Router/Modem is CATUX, followed by some other numbers then 2018. It did not say CAT 5 or 6...so is this an older or newer type of cable? Thank you!
