Understanding Jacopo (The House in Fata Morgana)

I love how we can analyze both the psychology of Jacopo in requiem and in reincarnation. To be able to view both and understand their purpose although they are so different is truly beautiful. It is rare that we find a character that is intricately crafted to be both tragic and still so human. This is why Jacopo and Morgana continue to be both my favorite characters. I love their dynamic and I love Reincarnation. Thank you for the analysis, I love seeing Jacopo get the recognition he deserves.

I’m so happy I found your content through this video! I’m so happy you covered how complex Jacopo is (although he just comes off abusive and brash at first) especially with the addition of requiem’s narrative. Watching him spiral and loose everything important to him leading to his fractured psyche and eventual death made both his character, and the original narrative ten times more potent and compelling to me. Keika Hanada truly is such a talented storyteller and writer, and the way he excels at writing a narrative of tragedy with a happy ending is something I aspire to also achieve even a fraction of proficiency in. Thank you once again for making this and I hope you are doing well.

One of my favourite character to ever come out from the Japanese media, one of my favourite character overall in fiction. Requiem did so much justice not only to his but to Maria's character as well, she literally became one of my favorites because of rfi. Requiem is for sure my favourite section of the game, very close to fragments and the one that solidified Jacopo as my favourite fatamoru character. He isn't a perfect character, he has a lot of flaws yet somehow his flaws are painfully human. His overall dynamic with Morgana is one of the most beautiful thing I've seen in fiction. This story inspired me to go back into writing again and I aspire to write a dynamic as beautiful as Jacopo and Morgana. Most importantly, I aspire to write a complex character like Jacopo as well. No matter how much media I consume, I feel like he'll always be in my top 10. Great analysis, I love Jacopo sm
