PROS & CONS of Dip Powder Nails!

Can dipping your nails in powder every couple weeks lead to contact dermatitis?

Are these more damaging than gel nails? I'm allergic to the methylacrylate in gel, so I got a nail dip starter kit. My nails are already thin from over filing so now I'm debating if I should do the nail dip.

Would you recommend this instead of hybrid nail polishes? Ya know, the ones that give you strength and shine. While this seems like a sales pitch, I'm afraid my nails are still going to break. My nails are soooo brittle and love the strength gel polish gave me, but I think I'm allergic to it :'(

I got dip nails for the first time. I wont get them again. After two days they started cracking and coming off. I'll stick with shellac.

For dip powder not required Even polish like gel ...that actually not tire,if u don’t polish even for the no.2,very high possible u will get uneven color,and may get crease,that is why normally,salon will let people do dip after they do good gel polish also,even u can get the kit,if u never get any training for doing nail professional,it is not a good idea for u to do it urself, because you may not able to clean good for the side and water will go inside of ur nails lately,then u may get fungus

I'm new to dipping powders, I'm using ASP products can you use a different make powders as well with ASP 5 steps.

"Dip powder is odorless"....Umm no. The powder part, maybe, but the base is so strong it burns my eyes and nose.

It may not smell bad , but at the end of the day it’s still acrylic . Rough on your nails and a bitch to get off . Take it from a professional.

Can anyone tell me why my nails always pop off within a few days of doing them ? I file and push my cuticles back every time . 2 coats of dip 1 coat of base and then adhesive then sealer . Also use the bond to dehydrate as my first step . Acrylics are even worse . Tried doing my own and all but 2 were off within a day .

I am highly allergic to gel polish. Dip powder works wonderfully for me!

does dip powder still work if a nail is slightly chipped?

Can you use a regular nail polish at the end?

If you sanitise the clients hands and nails before re dipping shouldn’t be a problem.

Con: can't dip long nails

My nails came out gritty and dull. I went back to have them buffed and top coat reapplied...same outcome. Why would this happen?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong after applying the activator and let it dry, I will file it with nail 100/180 file and it'll take off the color. Why?

I got a kit from Revel Nails for 50$ and it is great and only has 3 steps. I do it myself so there is no germ issue.

i use a 2 in 1 dip liquid, so much easier and i never get the powder everywhere and that is with having quite a bad tremor!
