Tillers should be curved to prevent locking.

I owned and sailed a Pahi 31. Fast and comfortable. Loved being able to dry out on a beach.

Mark, they are just called tillers. The connecting bar is called exactly that, a connecting bar or rod.

You could really use a windlass and a chain locker, especially if you’ll be singlehanding . I’m sure you’ll get around to it. Really beautiful boat. Your videos are fantastic!

Solution for batterns. Try some of the flexible upvc plastic window finishing strips about 90mm wide 7 mm thick and as long as you need from a window facia supplier. Your wooden version was always doomed. Or pay for the real thing. Take yours out before the sial gets torn. Keep up the work very inspirational.

I really can’t speak from the experience of sailing your “house”…that makes the impact of risks a little greater but I wish I could converse with you about the likelihood of all the scenarios…such that you could be less affected by emotion and working more from the the great experience you have already sailing.
It was really great to see you get past it every time and do the sailing as you did here.

Amazing the work you have done. When using the hand plane, files, normal wood or metal saws don’t drag the tool backwards. Every time you drag the tool backwards it dulls the cutting part of the tool. For a plane it pushes down and forward. Then ease off the downward pressure or much better life the tool off the work piece as you draw the tool backwards. Try it out a sharpened plane will last much longer and give you better shavings lingering.
Always fun to watch. I replaced over a Hu deed snaps on my boat today. Rather be planing wood….
Oh always wear a safety line u til you get some sort of railing. One slip and bad things happen.

You definitely need an electric winch for the anchor. Also why have such a long anchor chain
Try using about 8 meters of chain attached to three quarter Manila roap. Much easier if you sail alone like I did for many years

Hi, probably you know, but you better take two lines to each bow one. Now the one line will got chafed when wind picks up and you start moving from one side to the other.
And congrats with your results! Safe sailing and fair winds!

Hey Mark, there is a vlogging girl Natasha from Russia with a popular utube channel. She has been stuck in Georgia for a while but now she got a visa and she is in the Netherlands. Natasha is a very important person. Not really girlfriend material but..
I would be so stoked if you could get her on the boat for a sail.
